Can you use the rewards to buy printer ink? I’ve never done their rewards but need batteries and can always use ink.

    • HipMomof3

      Yes

If you use rewards to make the purchase, will you still get rewards back?

    • ATM

      I don’t think you do

    • Amber

You only get the portion you paid out of pocket back. Example $10 item, used $10 in points to pay, you get $0 back. Same $10 item and you used $4 in Points to pay, you get $6 back.

I am still waiting on the rewards from last time . How long does it usually take??

    • Blessed

The fine print says maybe thirty days or something like that but mine are usually available to use within a few days

I never received my rewards on the batteries last time, so I did a chat on Office Depot and the representative told me I couldn’t use a coupon to get the 100% back in rewards. Hip2Save told me to wait and I would get it, but still no rewards, so I called in this time and the representative told me since I used a gift card (not reward points) to pay I wouldn’t get 100% rewards back. Finally she just manually gave me the rewards credit. So not sure what the correct exact rules are (coupons, payment type allowed) but if your in doubt I would call and check before ordering.

Thanks so much for the feedback! SO glad they were able to help!

Coupon is fine as I’ve done it multiple times. However, you only get back what you paid out of pocket… but it makes it so you pay less out of pocket and get that back if you use a coupon. Also wanted to note that there is a difference between using merchandise credit (Issued for returns etc) and gift card. Merchandise credit may look like a gift card but they are not and will not earn the rewards if used.

Yay for batteries! One of our smoke detectors needed new batteries and these are perfect!

I did this last week. Does anyone know if I can do this deal again this week?
