I will admit to being a bit of a vacuum snob, so I am skeptical when I try something new. However, I was surprised at the performance of this stick vacuum. It has excellent suction and the choice of settings makes a big difference in flexibility when cleaning. For example, the high carpet suction is too much for my large area rug, but the lower setting works great for that rug.
This vacuum is quieter than any other stick I have had which is helpful when cleaning a large space. The battery life is also impressive as I move between high suction and lower suction throughout the different spaces in my home and it makes it through all of them on one charge. With 2 dogs and a cat, vacuuming happens daily in my home and the Shark makes it a little easier.
I’ve owned several different stick vacs in the past (including the expensive D-word brand), and this is BY FAR my favorite! It picks up EVERYTHING and doesn’t spit anything back at you (i.e. kitty litter). The rollers truly stay clean! The rollers from the other brands I’ve had were tangled with hair after the first use.
Also, my biggest pet peeve with other brands is that as soon as I turned them off, everything that was in the “tube” fell to the floor. With the shark, nothing falls down when the power is turned off. And being able to bend the tube back to vacuum under furniture is genius – so cool! I LOVE this vac!!
