Bed Bath & Beyond Will Close 40+ More Stores by End of February
Bed Bath & Beyond is planning dozens of store closures by the end of next month.
Although we’re hoping for brighter days in 2021, the retail world seems to be getting off to a rough start. Bed Bath & Beyond recently confirmed to USA TODAY that it will be closing 43 of its stores in 19 states and Puerto Rico by the end of February.
Although this news is certainly disappointing, it comes as no surprise. Last July, we reported that Bed Bath & Beyond planned to close 200 of its stores over the next two years, accounting for over 20% of its physical locations. The first wave of store closures began with over 60 in the second half of 2020, and this news is a continuation of the plans that were set into motion last summer.
Bed Bath & Beyond spokesperson Dominic Pendry told USA TODAY that by the end of February, the company will have completed around 60% of its planned closures, bringing the count so far to 120 stores closed. The complete list of locations scheduled to close this winter can be seen here. The impacted stores are reported to be holding their liquidation sales at this time.

Did anyone notice they now have items that are excluded from using coupons?
They want you to buy the membership since you can apply your membership discount to a lot of them and not the coupons.
Ours went out before Christmas. They were selling everything, all shelving fixtures, their used staplers etc…even the stuff that was 90% off seemed a bit high in price.
This is no loss. Most items are returned any way.
Stores that have lenient return policies usually end up going out of business. No, the customer is not always right!
