I bought one of these a little while back. I have to say I absolutely love it. The reading is immediate. So you can get it back into the oven without losing heat in the meat or the oven. My husband who is a tough critic grumbled when he saw another gadget. He bought the last thermometer we had which took forever to read. The old round metal ones. This is a dream.
I can’t wait to use it when I grill. It is a logical design too. It turns off when you fold in the temperature probe. I picked up a second one to give as a gift. It’s a perfect gift for a cook or someone who loves to grill.

I have this. I love it. My husband groaned about having another kitchen tool. However, he is now using it. High praise. It is designed well. Just wipe off the probe and fold it in. That’s how you shut it off. It reads immediately, so you are not waiting for a reading while the meat cools down. I am looking forward to using it in the summer at the grill. Love it.
I second your rave review! We have two of these at my house, one for the grill and one for me to use in The kitchen. This thing is amazing! Before I had this my meat was dry because I over cooked it trying to make sure it was done. Now I have nice, tender, juicy meat and I can ensure my meat is cooked properly!
