Can you get a $10 gift card for every two you buy or does this only work once?

I do not see a limit listed in the ad. You may want to look at the sign when you head into the store.

If you are in the app go to the weekly ad. You will see a teeny, tiny symbol after each deal. These were hard enough to decipher when there was a paper copy but with the digital it is very hard. Go to the end of the “page” or the end of the flyer and match the symbol for the terms of the deal. I believe that there is a limit of two per person except in NM. I’m not at all comfortable about saying this is fact without someone else checking it out with much better eyesight than mine. I will say from my experience tell the cashier before you start the transaction that you are expecting the free Walgreens card and ask that they get a manager if they don’t know how to do the transaction. It does not happen automatically and if you buy the cards and after the fact say – I should have gotten a Walgreens gift card you are just out of luck. Cards are not returnable.

Thank you for sharing this helpful info! 😀

Did anyone try this? It didn’t give me the gift card and they just told me to call the 1800 number but they say they can’t help either

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer! SO sorry to hear about that. I wonder if they may be able to help if you chatted with customer service online.

Emily I am so sorry. I do this quite a bit in Dec. when they have a different gift card promotion every week. It does not happen automatically the cashier has to key it in. See my comments above to tell the cashier before you start the transaction. I suggest you go back to the store in the daytime if possible when the main manager is likely to be there and ask to speak to the manager. Bring the cards and the receipt. Pull up the ad on your phone. Politely tell them you did call 1-800 and they couldn’t help. If the manager still doesn’t offer to help than ask for the name, address and phone of the district manager. Hopefully that does the trick but if not write a letter to your state consumer protection agency or state attorney general.

I also had problems checking out. Bought 2 $25 Kohls gift cards and did not receive my $10 Walgreens gift card‼️‼️‼️Even showed my Walgreens loyalty card!!! Very disappointed in this offer no returns!!

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Often on these deals, it’s easiest to just bring the Walgreens gift card to checkout with you as a lot of the cashiers don’t know what’s all in the ad. Have them put $10 on it and it will be discounted automatically at checkout. I would totally call customer service and let them know you didn’t get the gift card, and I bet they will hook you up with $10 in Wags cash.

Dear Friends, PLEASE read my comments above on how to do this deal. You absolutely must tell the cashier in advance that you are doing this deal. It is not preprogrammed in the computer. The cashier must key it in as part of the transaction. The cashiers are frequently new and have no clue how to do it. Just start out asking for the manager. If the manager has no clue go to another store. Once you buy a gift card it is yours and options are fewer. I’m so, so sorry for my couponing Hip2Save friends and hope it gets made right.

Thanks so much for the helpful tip! We sure appreciate it!

Burlington gift cards start at $25 not $15. I’ve only seen the Chili’s cards start at $15.

    • DavidFL

Correct. I bought Burlington last night, $25 each. I didn’t know how the bonus card work. I didn’t get the GC and was told I had to bring an extra Walgreens GC to check out. No sign. No information in the ad either [Walgreens, you need to do a better job on this]. I called customer service this morning and had $10 cash added to my account.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the heads up!
