I saw this idea on Pinterest about using a slinky on a post/pole for clematis to grow up. It works very well!
I used the slinky on the pole that holds the birdfeeder so when the squirrels try to climb the pole they hit the slinky and it gently lowers them back to the ground. No harm to squirrels and the birds are fat and happy!
