What a great light! Love the different tones and brightnesses. It folds for easy travel, a big bonus for me. The top of the base is flat, so you can set stuff on it if necessary. I liked it so much I bought another one.
I have a number of Taotronics products and they all work great. I travel a lot and find that hotels now don’t have a lot of light. I carry the lamp with me as it is lightweight and gives me the light I need. Being LED it’s not going to break like older lamps. Varying the light levels is handy because you can adjust it so if the reflected glare from a magazine page is too much, you can lower the brightness to more comfortably read.
