Logitech improved upon a great series of gaming mice with the G MX518. It has the same classic shape which works well for larger hands and my preferred mouse grip style. The new Hero sensor is extremely accurate and doesn’t skip. The rubber mouse cord is also unlike some other G models mice. AND the top of G MX518 is smooth without any texture with rubberized sides to the body. I prefer this over G500/G5 finish and also it’s much lighter than those mice!
I’m sorry to be limited to 5 stars. I had the MX510 originally (2005) and then got the MX518 a year or two later. I’ve used it ever since. The feel of the new 518 is nice and it has a good texture on the sides (the old one had more “stickiness” whereas this one is “rough”). I think it’s a good upgrade and the hero sensor is nice since I don’t have to worry about pet hair creeping into the laser area. It’s the best mouse series ever made!
