How do you attach it to your house? I understand installing posts, but we’ve been afraid to try it because of needing to attach it physically to our structure on at least one corner.
We installed it to our concreting block home on one side and 12×12 poles on the other side (dug a few feet in the ground and cemented). I’ve seen it just as poles. We did a lot of YouTube research before doing.
Mine needed to be attached to the house. The guy I hired opened my soffit and bolted a reinforcing length of wood (2″x4″ ?) to the existing framework to reinforce it. I’m glad he did this because when a FL storm comes from nowhere it really flaps & pulls these sails. He installed lag bolts with a loop at the end as the attachment point. We also attached ‘swivel snap hooks’ to the ropes at each corner of the sail. This makes set up so much easier. We used vinyl, marine-quality rope so it can withstand the sun and humidity of FL climate. I’ve used my sails for 3 years now and they’re in great shape. I’m 66 and I put up and take these down by myself.

Does anyone think this would somehow work for on top of a trampoline? We use to have a canopy top for it and it was nice as a shade and helped keep the tree dirt off but we can’t find a replacement and I was wondering if something like this would work. Has anyone ever tried this?

I have needed/wanted a roof over my deck for years, but with the cost and hassle, I’ve put it off (permits, finding someone reputable who would actually show up and complete the work).
