Readers love these backpacks! Here are a few reviews…

My daughter has been using hers for 2 years including school, camps, and vacations and it still looks brand new.

I bought 2 of these backpacks when my kids were entering 1st and 3rd grade. They are still in excellent condition, and we’ll be using them for 3rd and 5th grade.

Purchased my daughter’s book bag from here last year. It held up beautifully and is perfect for this year too. Washes up great.

These lunch boxes are insulated on the inside to keep your kiddos lunch cold! They have a large zippered main compartment and a smaller zippered pocket on the front. There’s a sturdy mesh pocket on the lid of the lunch box that is perfect for holding ice packs and some styles have a side pocket for water bottles.

Do they not allow curbside pickup? I was trying to order one for curbside pickup near my store, but it is not allowing me to do so.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

It looks like pick up availability can vary. Hope this helps!

We ordered one medium backpack couple of weeks back when there was a similar deal, the landsend quality is nowhere near pottery barn. Its more like walmart backpack but with a small logo on the straps. I would rather go with a pottery barn one when there is a similar deal.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Darn! Thanks for your honest review, Mia. Good to know what you thought of the medium backpack.

We have both PB and Lands End and I actually prefer the Lands End quality. They’ve all held up for many years, especially with one rough boy, while my PB one that I’ve had for 3 weeks already had a stuck zipper.

      • Dawn

I meant to add that I’ve tried all sizes amongst my 3 kids. We’ve had 4 book bags from them. Only one from PB so far.

      • Joanna

Same. I own both and find both the quality to be great. However, I prefer Landsend as they stand behind their product with their 100 percent customer satisfaction guarantee.

    • Diane

I agree with you. I thought I was spending extra money on quality when I bought my kindergartner a lands end backpack. But the straps fell apart half way into the semester. Last year I bought a Nike backpack and it’s in perfect condition and has had far more wear. It’s just so hard to know what will last.

Does anyone know if a bentgo lunch box can fit in their lunch bags?

    • Marianne

It can fit in the lunchbox stylewith the mesh drink container on the side. My daughter used that style with her Bentgo all last year.

    • JES

We use the ones posted and it fits a bentgo box, small bag of chips, and juice pouch.

  4. Diane

Any ideas about size for a tall kindergartner. I’d like it to last a few years

    • sarah21

I’d go with a medium, from our experience. We love Land’s End.

  5. Pattyd

Landsend backpacks are amazing. And if you have any issues they will immediately replace them. In all the years I bought backpacks for my daughter from them, I only had to return one for a broken zipper, and they replaced it without question monogram and all.
