One week ago I bought the Peregrine 10s and after two three-mile trail runs they feel excellent (on my flat feet). These are snug but I like them snug while still providing comfort. If you don’t like a snug, I recommend going half a size up. It is difficult finding the right shoe for my feet but when I do, I usually buy two or three pairs of those shoes because most companies change their shoes…the struggle is real.
I wear these all the time for trail hiking. They are the best hiking shoes I’ve ever owned. They are light, the rock plate allows me to fly over rocks and roots, they are stable, and have been fairly durable. I wear them a lot. I also wear these for golf. I’m buying another pair to be sure I can wear them for another year.
I’m very pleased with the Peregrine 10, I have been a long-time fan of the Peregrine line. The last couple of iterations have been somewhat disappointing to me. The Peregrine 10 gets back to its roots; solid lockdown upper, firmer ride, rock plate is back, tread curves under a bit more reducing ankle abrasion while still maintaining the grip for which Peregrine is known. Overall a much improved and streamlined shoe, feels like it’s part of my foot again. I didn’t think I’d like the color but it quickly became one of my favorite aspects!
