Handwoven Recycled Newspaper Baskets – Just $5.99 at Trader Joe’s
Trader Joe’s has the coolest stuff this holiday season!
We spotted these fun Recycled Newspaper Baskets at our local Trader Joe’s this week! These double-handled, tub-style baskets were handwoven in Sri Lanka, and no two are alike. One of these would make such a unique and eco-friendly gift basket!
Despite being made of paper, this basket is tightly-woven and feels surprisingly sturdy. It can hold up to 15 pounds and can even be cleaned with a damp cloth! You can grab one at TJ’s for a limited time only for just $5.99.

(Thanks, Heather!)
These are so cute! But I think I REALLY need some of those felted trivets!
I have one from last year. They are really sturdy and cool basically.
Just ugly
I used to know someone who could make stuff like this. They even used wrappers from sticks of gum and all sorts of stuff. They made more than just baskets too. I think it’s neat.
I love all their stuff! This is so cute and original.
