Dollar tree regularly has decent sizes of canvases. Would be a nice, cheap project that way! I’m definitely doing this. Thanks 😁
GREAT idea, Amy! Thanks for the suggestion!
I signed up. Thank you for the post! I love to paint and have tons of acrylics. A word of advise to those that sign up, pretreat your canvas with a coat of gesso. Coats the canvas so when you go to paint it covers well.
You’re welcome! Thanks a bunch for the helpful tip! Good to know!
Thanks! Love these!! Did a couple free yaymaker events in the past.
You’re so welcome, Ashley! Glad you have enjoyed these before!
Love this! We could all use more art in our lives these days ❤️ Thank you!
You’re very welcome!
Thanks! My teen daughter has been painting through the pandemic, so I asked her about these sessions and she is very excited! She is going to try one of the free ones and if she likes it we will sign-up for a few paid sessions. We were unaware these sessions were available until we read this post! Many thanks!!
Oh perfect! You’re welcome, Carrie! Hope she enjoys the classes!
Our daughters were excited about these classes. We registered for the free classes and also for the paid classes. We had 2 free classes that nothing happened. The free classes are recorded and the company just needs to turn it on. We waited for an hour and nothing happened. We then registered for a few paid classes. Some of them were good. But the host did not show up for one paid class. We waited for 30 minutes and no one showed up. I contacted the company but no response from them. No phone number from the company either. I had to email them 3 times asking for a refund and still no response. I had to contact my credit card company to report the issue. The funny thing is the company sent me a link asking for tips for the class that the host did not show up. I later looked at their facebook page and found a lot of bad reviews. Most of them are similar situation I have.
Please do not register for their paid classes.
Oh no! SO sorry to hear about that, Becky. Thanks for the warning and for sharing your experience. Hoping it goes more smoothly if you decide to try out the free class options this time.
My daughter will be very disappointed with a no-show. Hoping for a smoother rollout with these new offerings. Thanks for the head-up however. We will wait to see how the free class goes before deciding on a paid class. With your experience, we will know not to wait around if no one shows within 10 minutes of the start time. Thank you.
It’s important to look at the time zone too. I’ve had to wait 5 minutes for it to start but never more than that. These free events at 7pm eastern 6 central.
Thank you so much. What a great Mommy/Daughter night. My 1st grader is obsessed with painting.
This is great! I signed up for me and my teenage daughter. Not so sure how it will turn out but it sounds cool. Can’t wait!
These look like fun. There are also a TON of free tutorials you can watch on YouTube or through Facebook. One of my favorites is Keeping it Colourful with Jesse Robertson, she releases 2 free tutorials each week that are available for 1 week but you can also “tip” $5 to have it forever and some of them are already on YouTube for free. She is very thorough with instructions and tries to keep the colors to a minimum, and shows you how to mix those colors into new ones so you end up with what you need.
Lavender falls event is ‘sold out’ but supposedly they send a video link to be able to watch it after the event.
Did anyone register who might be willing to share the link after the event?
If so please email me mascaret at gmail.com I know the event isn’t for another month lol but if I wait until then to ask no one will see this. Thanks!
YouTube has tons of art tutorials you can start watching whenever you want!
Signed & received ticket for lavender oak but lost it when I clicked on the falls. I’m 70 & not fantastic with computers! Tried to check back in history. Sights showed in tabs but nothing came up when I clicked on them.
I have a new email format and I accidently eraed 3 days worth of emails and my ticket to tomorrows acrylic (virtual) paint pic. Could you send me another. I am really excited about this and hate to miss it. Thanks E;izabeth B ogan
Its the pic at 6pm tomorrow. Please I need an email sent to me because I accidently erased 3 days of emails because I have a new format. Thanks
