(Thanks, CouponMamacita!)
Just an FYI about Sears portrait offers- these “free” coupons usually require you to purchase at least one sheet of photos, even if the coupon doesn’t mention it. Check w/ your studio first about requirements to use these coupons. I got in a big… disagreement… w/ the portrait associates during my last visit to Sears because they never mentioned that I’d have to buy something until after we got through out loooooong photo session.
I agree with Summer. I have learned the hard way the Sears Portrait “FREE” coupons/no sitting fee deals are complete BS (Bait & Switch 🙂 In the end they point you to the fine print “ask for details” and then you have to PAY. I tried to even contact Sears CS on this several times and they completely ignored my emails/phone calls. I would stay away!
These so called ‘free’ portrait, has anybody tried them?
Because a few years back I went to JCpenney or sears for one with an ad just like these and they said, no its not free.
I went to Sears for their FREE calendar offer and well it wasn’t free! I was so mad and irritated I will NEVER go back to sears for anything related to portraits!
We had a TERRIBLE experience at Sears the last time we went. They made me wait over an hour (after our session) while they went on lunch break before I could see/pick out my photos to order WITH my THREE children! Customer service did nothing to remedy the situation! I won’t return to Sears ever again. Picture People has been more than accomodating on every trip for pictures since my Sears fiasco and Hip2Save has helped me find great ways to make their pictures affordable!!
AMEN!!!!!! So glad to hear I’m not the only one who experienced this w/sears. They said that ‘restrictions apply’ means that you have to buy something. (!!!!!!????) They are not BBB accredited. I would totally file a complaint to at least try to force them to be honest in their advertising strategy….I did. I will NOT be going back until they change their deceiving ways.
I am a regular customer at Sears Portrait and never have a problem trying to use a “free coupon”. The only rule mine has is that it is only one free offer per session. You can email corporate to have them send you the coupon policy, so you will have it on hand if a problem does arise.
I echo everyone’s negative comments about Sears. I did get a photo for free around Christmas time after refusing to order a picture package they said was necessary to get my free photo. I waited about 45 min with no other customers in the photo area with two employees working. The picture session took all of about 10 min and the photos were not great. Then, I waited another 45 min for them to “enhance” the photos that were taken. These were done poorly also. Finally after haggling about the “free photo.” I left never expecting to actually see it developed. I did get an email that it had come into the store and I picked it up. Seriously, JCPenny’s Portrait Studio was great, got us in fast (with several other people in the studio around Christmas time), took great pictures, took minimal time, did not push picture packages we did not want. I will never go back to Sears for any “free photo” or any other, again!!!
ive never had a problem. my sears rule is like someone else said…ONE coupon per visit. i even have the smile savers card, i can go in everyday of the week and get a free 8×10 and nothing else. and combined w/a free coupon i still get a free 8×10 of whatever the coupon was for. im suprised by all the negative comments!
where do you find the contact info for corporate? I went through a long session of pictures with my daughter for them to tell me, its not free, you have to purchase something to go with it. Hmmm…. I don’t agree with their advertising.
