Oscar Mayer is looking for fresh meat for their Hotdogger Program. The company is looking to hire an Oscar Mayer spokesperson to promote the company on a 1-year tour.
If you’ve ever dreamed of driving the iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, now is your chance! This is a unique opportunity to have a full-time job traveling the country and what better way to do it than in a giant hot dog on wheels?
Over the course of a year, from June until June, you’ll execute or attend over 200 fun events all while driving and maintaining the iconic 87-year-old Wienermobile.

What are the job duties of an Oscar Mayer spokesperson?
There is a lot more to the job than just driving the WIenermobile.
Oscar Mayer is looking for upbeat, adventurous, and charismatic college graduates to promote their brand. You’ll be the company’s boots on the ground as you travel the country and connect with the public. To succeed at the job, you’ll have to be positive, flexible, and able to work independently (and in a team).
Being good at public speaking is also a must! The Wienermobile spokesperson executes or attends over 200 public events and does promotional interviews with radio, television, and newspaper media. Plus, you’ll be creating social media content for Oscar Mayer’s social platforms.
The best candidates for the job also have some project management skills and can coordinate all aspects of Winermobile travel and manage all expenses.
How much does a Wienermobile Spokesperson get paid & what are the qualifications?
Let’s get to the important details! First, a Bachelor’s Degree is required. Degrees in public relations, journalism, communications, advertising, and marketing are preferred, but not a requirement.
Since you’re driving the famous 27-foot Wienermobile, you must also have a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record. You must be comfortable being on the road for long periods and staying in short-term accommodations like hotels. You’ll also be required to take a drug test and receive a background check.
Finally, you must be able to work major holidays.
If you’re up for the job, here’s the Wienermobile Spokesperson compensation package:
- Base salary of $36,500 plus $150 a week ($7,200/year) for meals and personal travel
- 18 days of paid time off
- Full health benefits package
- 100% of hotel expenses covered
