Well, a House Party is thousands of parties across the country, hosted by people like us. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as Sargento) and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends. Basically a House party let you share the products you like with all your friends, free of charge! Companies love to promote these type of events because it spreads the word about their products.

Next click over here to look at all the upcoming House Party events. When applying you will be asked a series of questions to make sure you’re a good fit for the House Party. That’s it! Now you just wait to see if you’re one of the lucky chosen that gets to host one of these FUN & FREE events!
I was chosen for the Hasbro game night and a DiGiorno pizza and breadsticks party. Both packages were GREAT. as someone mentioned before, the Game NIght pack had a TON of stuff. A bunch of 5.00 off coupons to give to your guests, trivial pursiut bet you know it, taboo and catchphrase, plus triscuits and wheatthins, hersheys dark chocolate pieces, and a battery coupon. My guests had a great time! The DiGiorno one came with 6 (i think) free coupons for pizza, and DiGiorno pizza ‘delivery’ box (my guests got a kick out of it!) and little games that were march madness themed with mardi gras style beads and a bunch of 4.00 off coupons for the guests. I have only chosen parties I know my guests would get into, and I just answer the questions honestly. I, too, am crossing my fingers for the playstation move!! i apply to a lot of them though, and have not been accepted as a host to everything.
I have won several of the parties in the past. However, I am bummed that I did not win the recent DJ Hero party. My son was really looking forward to winning. Charlene, your party looks like it is going to be so much fun. Enjoy!
I got to do the Febreeze party. sadly due to a death in the family, I couldnt have my party. but I was able to give out all of the freebie stuff! It was awesome! I also wasnt picked for the DjHero but hopefully another good one will come around!
I was also selected for the Kleenex party. My box will be delivered tomorrow. I am doing the party with my daycare kids. Looking forward to having fun and getting messy!!!!

I was selected for the BullsEye BBQ House Party! The package came with 8 bottles of sauce and 15 Free coupons along with game ideas, coozies and e-music gift cards for everyone and a set of BBQ equipment! I maximized the Freebies and used the coupons during the Bullseye BBQ B1G1 deal and scored 38 bottles of sauce for my guests! We had a tasting contest! It was GREAT!

Do you get to pick when you do the party or do they give you a date you have to have it? I am curious how this works. How do they know you had the party? Is there a follow up thing you complete or send pictures? It sounds like a lot of fun!

I’ve done the Oscar Mayer one, the UL one, and the Photoworks one. Always great stuff to give away, and another fun reason to have a small party. If I don’t get enough guests, I always spread the word at work or give the freebies to neighbors. (You don’t have to have the party on the day they say, btw.)
Im just curious ladies, How many of you that have been selected are bloggers?? i am starting to think thats the trick to getting picked. ive not been picked for one either. (im getting discouraged) i know a bunch of my friends and family from church would love to join me for a party. I applied for the rubbermaid one and i really hope to get picked..
I am not a blogger and I’ve been selected for 2 parties. I don’t know what the secret it, but I guess the more people you say you know, the better.
I am not a blogger either and just got picked for the Boboli Party. I think that sometimes it depends on what you say your party idea is and sometimes its how many people you’ll invite.
Just want to know what the trick I have applied for several party but never pick. What I’m doing wrong pls help
I got picked to do the frebreeze party and it was fun. I would love to do other parties in the future. The house party program is a great way to try new products and share with your friends. There have been questions about being picked and I think it really has to do with how quick you fill out your application and about how you answer the questions on the app. There were also very specific instructions of three things i needed to do for them to accept my application so make sure you read the fine print and finish all the requirements. I haven’t won a party but am still trying and also trying not to get discouraged. My BF and I were really hoping to win the DJ Hero one, but found out today that we didnt get it. Im also wondering if there is a trick because many people Ive talked to online have gotten 3 or 4… sometimes in a row! I follow the directions and fine print, fill it out honestly etc. I often wondered if they really need to be blown away by your party ideas, or by your writing skills for futher reviews. I thought I had a pretty nice one for DJ Hero. My BF, friends and I all love to have game nights etc. And some have been considering buying the game. Its the perfect target audience. oh well lol.

I hosted an Oscar Mayer party in June. We had a blast! I got 18 coupons for free hotdogs and a bunch of coupons for 75 cents off ketchup. I also recently got a box in the mail from 7th Generation and Yobaby! It has tons of samples and coupons for free diapers, wipes & yogurt! I’m especially excited about that box as I had no idea it was coming until it showed up at my door. I love these house parties and hope I get to do more.
Okay so here is a not so feel good story about the house party . I was selected to host a house party for the DiGiorno pizza and bread sticks and I was so excited . The problem was that this party was supposed to be held on a specific night and the products were not released in my area until 2 weeks later. So I tried to get a hold of House Party but they had no answer so I asked them how to get a hold of DiGiorno and they said they did not know . It was obviously too late to cancel party so I used coupons to buy pizzas and my local supermarket donated the bread sticks . Never heard from DiGiorno or House Party again . I loved hosting I would recommend not hosting something that is not easy to get in your area.

I got picked for the first party I applied for, the Oscar Mayer Thrill of the Grill one – great time, and since we had 44 people there we gave away or ate every last hot dog. I was really afraid I wouldn’t get picked again, since there was a problem with my exit survey and I never could get it to upload. I even called House Party to ask about it, but no luck. A few days later, though, I was picked for the Splenda Summer Party – hooray! Looking forward to it at the end of the month.
I wasn’t picked for the Bulls-Eye BBQ, but I hope I get chosen for the Boboli Beat BBQ Boredom party later this month. I’ve checked around – it seems that the more wired-in you are, the better: online photo sites, social media memberships, etc. They want you to do a lot of it online. Demographics and how many people in your area applying also seem to be a factor. They want a good demographic and regional mix, so not getting picked may be as simple as living in a really populous area or not having the right number of kids.

I was chosen for the Kleenex Hand Towel House Party also, I received the box yesterday morning via Fedex!! Now that the box is here, my whole family is getting into it and helping plan for the big day!

I applied for about 90% of the parties on the website for 4 months. I have never been picked for a party. I have almost everything they ask for, and then some. I just don’t have a blog or website. I have submitted several good ideas for parties, but still a no go. It is just a waste of my time at this point.
I just got the Boboli Beat BBQ Boredom House Party!! So excited I just signed up about a month ago. I cant wait!! I am sure it will be a blast.

I just found out today that I was selected for the PS3 Move House Party! Can’t believe it! My kids now think I’m the coolest mom ever! Can’t wait to host a video game party at our house! Gotta say thanks to Hip2Save for letting me know about House Party opportunities in the first place!
