Are the savings instant or is it a mail-in rebate type of savings?

    • Collin

The price is after an instant savings that will be taken at checkout. 🙂

  2. Craig

I wonder what the model #s are on the Panasonic and Samsung tvs?.

This is prob a novice question, but can one buy these deals online or is it instore only? Perhaps I’ll have to wait until Cyber Monday to see if I can get a Nook deal for my mom…

    • Jessie Hiers

I talked to a Best Buy Rep on the phone and was told that the online will honor any store deals and vice versa.

  4. Michelle Keim

Just in stores….and lines are super LONG.

  5. Amy Davis

I just recieved an email stating that Best Buy had a restocking fee that was stated on the back of there receipt which is 15% new policy I guess, but if you have a return that would be alot of money out of your pocket just a heads up.

    • Elizabeth

Best Buy has always had a restocking fee on opened electronics. For this reason I try to do extensive research before purchasing any electronic item there and often I’ll find better prices elsewhere with no restocking fee. They will do an exchange should your product be defective, but if you’ve just changed your mind the restocking fee comes into play.

I keep seeing the Wii deals, but I’m looking for a deal on the 250 gig Xbox. Anyone heard of any other than Target? Hoping for one at Amazon…

    • Sarah

Meijer has a deal on the Xbox, but I don’t remember what GB size it was.

I Suggest NOT getting the Nook (Barnes & Noble E-reader) 1) You have to press HARD to get anything to open 2) It freezes up all the time. 3) The server hasn’t been working the last two weeks, thus you can’t get any books, 4) You cant use like Amazon or any other site for thier free downloads and 5) If you bring it to Barnes and Nobles they have NO idea what it is and claim they do not have an e-reader. Just a heads up in case people are looking at that for a present. Spend a little more and get either the Sony or the Kindle from Amazon!

I don’t know where your B&N is, but all my local stores (4) have huge Nook sales areas, with many Nooks available to try, and numerous Nook sales people who demonstrate and show all about the Nook. I plan on buying one and gifting it to myself this Christmas;) It is the top-rated e reader recommended by several review sites, including C-net and Bf ads if you are looking for an e-ink display.

      • Meghan

I’m in the Orlando area, and I’ve been to about three different B&N, and none of the know what it is. Maybe they are just ignorant! lol. I knew several people that have the Nook, Including myself that it freezes up on all the time, and when Its not frozen, I haven’t been able to download a book from the site for the last two weeks. As well as my friends who have it.
BUT Hopefully you’ll have better luck with yours if you get a Nook! 🙂

        • Mike

I’m not sure why you are having difficulty receiving Nook assistance in the store. All B&N stores are fully aware of Nook. It’s company-wide with a crazy amount of support/advertising. Perhaps there was some mis-communication with a new holiday hire. Did you speak with a manager?

I love playing with the ones in the stores and have found everyone to be helpful, although some workers do seem to know more about it than others, but that’s bound to happen. And several of my friends have one too and love it! Although I may wait to get one until the new color one has been out for a while. But I’m that way with all new electronics!

Hope you have more luck in the future!

          • Ivana

Love my nook. I have not had any problems with mine. They have a new update thats free with complaints ppl have had. For example, pages turn easier. You can view your books on other devices (ipad), etc.
Wish I would have waited for this sale tho:)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have a nook and I would not use another brand! It’s fantastic — the store is on your nook and if you search the store for 0.00 you will see over a million (literally, over a million) free books. Also there are always instore deals by taking your nook in for things like 10% off your purchase, or a free drink from the cafe! Love it! My server has been working fine — I downloaded the new firmware upgrade and a book last night just fine. You can also buy books on the BN website and they will automatically sync to your nook!

    • LJ

I agree! I do not know what is up with the B&Ns near you, but we have 2 here & BOTH have displays as soon as you walk in the main doors. There are at least 2 Nook Specialists in each store (both of whom I know from both of my stores just from asking questions). There are individuals chosen to take them home and play with them to teach others. There are FREE Nook seminars so that you can learn more, even. My husband and I both have the Nook and love them. My daughter just got one for her birthday. We have downloaded PAGES of books to them. Also, you can download books from your local library AND if you download Calibre it can convert some ebook files to be Nook friendly. I was even given a list of other sites that you can download books from by the B&N reps!! It is a great device!!

Hey, I am just curious how the price match policy works. I noticed Walgreens and CVS ar having a TON of free after ‘register rewards’ items and I was wondering if Walmart honors those as well, somehow?

Thanks, Collin!!! Your site has saved me hundreds, and made my shopping trips sooooo much more enjoyable! 😀

  9. Lacie

The Panasonic television is 720p I believe. Plasmas are all 600hz. The LED Samsung is going to be 1080p and 120hz. It is not the 3d one of course.
And Home Theater does not have a restocking fee as far as I know so if you are concerned about the televisions and such, don’t let that stop you from buying.
Annnd as far as I know the in store deals are only guaranteed in store. They will price match for online prices (say a tv is 899 online and 1099 in store, they will drop it down to 899) but I don’t think it works the opposite way most days and unless it is listed at that price online I don’t think they will change it for you as the point is to get you to the store.

  10. Dorothy

I have never done this before. What time does the internet shopping start at Best Buy? Is there a set time or is it just the same time as the sales paper says? What about the time zone? Thanks.
