Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day = FREE Meal!
Did you know that tomorrow, July 8th, is Cow Appreciation Day?! In celebration of Cow Appreciation Day, Chick-fil-A will award a FREE combo meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who comes to one of the chain’s 1,200-plus restaurants fully dressed from head to hoof as a cow. Chick-fil-A will award a FREE entree to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, hat or other accessory. Decision of what qualifies as fully-dressed versus partially-dressed is at the discretion of the restaurant Operator.
Need some inspiration for a cow costume? Check out these ideas from Chick-fil-A…
* Start with items that you already have at home – cow- printed accessories stashed in your closet will work perfectly. Hats, vests, scarves, neckties, pants, shoes, pajamas – just abut any cow-spotted item will work. Just make sure you’re covered head to toe!
* Wear white, and then just add spots. Throw on a white T-shirt with white pants (even sweatpants) and stick on your spots using black contact paper. If contact paper is not easily accessible, you can cut spots out of construction paper and tape them to your shirt and pants. If nothing else, you can grab an old white T-shirt and color black spots all over it with a magic marker.
* Go to your local paint or hardware store and get a white painter’s hat and overalls. And then decorate yourself with spots made out of contact or construction paper.
* Make your own costume using the printable cow pieces and parts found here
On a side note, the Hip2Save Team will be stopping by a local Chick-fil-A in Oxford, Alabama on July 8th so stay tuned for some pics. If you happen to live in Oxford, we hope to see you at the Chick-fil-A at 1205 Hwy 21 S at 1PM!
(Thanks, Fran and Mojo Savings!)
BEST day of the year!!! What I do is wear a regular black shirt and then I have an old white shirt that I cut holes in and wear it over the black shirt. And yes, I keep the holey white shirt year after year ๐
Love that idea!
wow you’re awesome! Thanks for posting this easy, cheap great way to make a costume!
The Chic Fil A in Sandy, UT was great last year. My family just wore the very simple paper cut outs and we got our meals FREE. Then we took them off immediately after receiving our food. It was like a party. People were coming and going the whole time. My kids still talk about going to the cow restaurant. Ha, ha.
Our whole office is going for a free “pot luck” after our staff meeting Friday morning. I will also be going for breakfast on the way to work. Last year a few people went from the office. Once we had our food, we passed out our costume pieces (printed from the chick-fil-a) website to other customers behind us in line.
Last year, one of my college students and her friends donned cow costumes and then stopped at multiple Chick-fil-As on their route to the beach. They put all their food in a cooler and ate it for their entire beach vacation.
We just moved to a state where there are chick-fil-a restaurants and I’ve never heard of this before! Haha totally doing this with my husband! I’m making the costumes right now ๐
This is absolutely hilarious. Debating whether to do it. I am on a very restricted diet.
Adult version of Cowlloween ๐ Chicken sandwich instead of candies.
