I am an expo tryology member. I have had Luvs, Duracell, Hellmans Olive Oil Mayo, Febreeze Car Clips, Smart Ones frozen dinner and Bisquick. They had made changes to the program so you best way to get points is to review products they invite you to review.

How was making the video for you? Do you do it yourself or have someone film you? Are you able to think of enough stuff to say? I love product tests, but I am not sure about a video one.

      • nostephens

You have to have someone else video you because you have to show the product you are trying and they have an outline they send in the box letting you know what you need to do. You can’t mention Expo TV or Tryology at all in the videos. Plus they only want you to keep your video to 2-3 minutes and they almost always give you questions to answer on the sheet. You also have to sign a confidentially agreement like when I did my Febreeze car clips the products wasn’t on the market yet.

Oh boy, I am not sure I can drag my hubby into this one!

I’ve uploaded some videos in the past but couldn’t figure out if there is a separate submit area or what. Its a little complex for me.

janelle- they just debuted a new member dashboard today. I think it is much more user friendly. Go check it out and see if it might make it easier for you to submit.

I have done the videos in my own….just rigged it up so I could show the product and me and followed the outline. It has been fairly easy and well worth my time. I have been a member for only a month and have been sent two high value items to review. One Sonicare product and a Fisher Price Toy.

they told me like “Awww Shucks, you don’t qualify for any products” How sad is it!!!

Been trying to apply for tryology’s as they send me apply emails! But still have not been accepted 🙁 its been like 3 months! Not one tryilogy since I’ve been a member. I am a member of SheSpeaks and I’ve been offered a free always radiant sample, it asked me to do a review (write one) online, so I did that, they sent me the full product! Then a month later they asked if I wanted my toddler to try the enfamil toddler single pack milks. Just got it today along with $5 off coupons! 🙂

I am an Expo TV member but uploading the videos has never worked for me! I have an Apple Macbook Pro. Whenever I try to upload a video it does not work and closes out of my internet! Has anyone else experienced this that can help?!

Also-you can also use a built in webcam or a normal webcam to upload videos 🙂

Hey all! I LOVE EXPO! Yes it can be a little difficult to figure out at first. But once you get the hang of it, it is very rewarding! I use my regular photo camera and set it on the video mode to take my video. Then take out the SD card and upload from it. I also have just started experimenting with using my iPad to upload (I drag the video from the iPad to the desktop). I usually sit down and do a few at a time to be more efficient.
Also, be sure to check out what “invitations” you have other than just the Tryology offers. Most invitation reviews are worth 500 points. Since a $5 GC is 600 pts, one review almost gets you $5! So totally worth it IMO to hang tight through the learning process. (can you tell I love the site! 😉 )

Can you tell me how you use your iPad to record video and upload to expo? My Mac is currently being repaired and I have to do video reviews but don’t how to use my iPad to do so.

      • MissiontoSave

SURE! When I first started using Viggle, I was doing it on my 1st gen iPad. Since it does not have a way to “listen” so to speak, sometimes I would just have to do a manual search for the show. So just tap to “sign in”, and it might try a few times. Then it will say something like “search for the show you are watching”. I have never had problems doing it that way. Now that I have a new iPad (with the voice rec) it can actually “listen” to hear what show is on. Occasionally I will still have to do a manual check in for the show. HTH!

        • MissiontoSave

SOOOOO Sorry was thinking was was in another thread.. HA! Viggle is another one of my faves!
          But about EXPO! 🙂
This might not sork for you because you still need access to a computer. I havent figured out a way to upload only using the iPad. Do you have a newer iPad? My 1st generation iPad did not have video capabilities. But my new one does.
Go to the Camera app and record your video. I like doing it this way because I can kind of watch myself on the screen as I am recording. Then plug your iPad into your CPU with the USB cable. Then go to “computer” and find your iPad listed. Go into the folders and search for the video you want and then drag it to the desktop. When you go to upload from the EXPO platform choose to upload from the desktop and you shuld see your video there to choose. There may be an easier way. But I think this works quite well. Again, probably not what you are looking for since your computer is down.
If you are only a few days over the due date, you might try contacting EXPO to see if they would give you an extension due to tech issues. I find them to be very responsive.
HTH for what you really were asking about! 😉

I have been an expo member for about a year now and love the program – it’s super easy to do and pts are easy to accumlate – I’ve done several tryology programs – Nutro Dog Food (got a 50 lb bag), Hellman’s with Olive Oil, Garnier Hair Color, and Luvs Diapers (I got the box that had 82 diapers) – really they don’t ask for much in return but just to give an honest review of the product – if you have a laptop with a camera on it you can use that to make videos 🙂 I have attached my referral link if anyone would like to use and if you have any questions – please ask – thanks, Beth https://www.expotv.com/raf/uid-161714

I too am a big ExpoTV fan. I’ve been a member since May. I’ve done Tryology Programs for Hellmans (I even got featured on the Hellman’s website!) Baby K’tan, and Duracell. Typically you can’t just join ExpoTV and expect to be selected for Tryology Programs without ‘paying your dues’. You need to accept AND complete invitations to review products and review products on your own just for the sake of doing it. Once you have some videos uploaded and they know you aren’t just applying for the Tryology program to get something for free and not do a review, you are likelier to be selected for the programs. This is the best website in that if you accept the invitations and do most wanted item product reviews, it is really easy to get rewarded. In my time as a member, I have already redeemed the points I’ve earned for 3-4 $50 Amazon.com gift cards.
