   These use toner, anyone have any suggestions for cheap ways to refill these? Not the same as ink cartridge printers.

  I have this printer, used for coupons & other random text docs, toner lasts me at least six months – I buy them on amazon for less than $15.

  A black toner cartridge lasts me almost 2 years. So I usually just get a new one from Best Buy. You get 15% off with your rewards card on printing supplies. Ink is just one of the things that I don’t like to mess with, so I pay retail instead of getting something “compatible” that may or may not mess up my printer.

   You will want this printer…This thing is a WORKHORSE! It is worth way more than the price shown on sale or not. You will also save a TON of $$$ on toner getting it from Amazon and the toner will last forever. Nothing else will even compare for serious couponing!!! I will never buy another printer that is not this brand.

  I bought a new printer a little less than a year ago so I could print from my phone and from my research at the time, to print from your phone the printer has to be an HP.

  I bought a Brother printer similar to this model about a month ago, and no, I have not been able to get it to print coupons from my phone or iPad. 🙁 That being said, it’s still an awesome printer and this is a great price!

  If you download the app Printer Share it will allow you to print from your phone. I have an Android phone and this printer and it works for me.

   oh thanks, Amy! Maybe brother has their own app like HP does?! I’ll do some more research. I assume if you can do it from your Android then I can print from my iPhone!!

  I use the Brother iPrint & Scan app on my iPhone, and it works well. Hope that helps.

   I just bought this printer on sale last week at Walmart for about $75. Not sure if promotion has ended but if you’d rather not shop online this could be a thought.

   This is an awesome printer! I bought this model two years ago on sale for $79. So, $70 is a steal! Also, toner cartridges last forever and you can “trick” them to extend their life even further.

  You can google “how to reset TN-450”.There are several videos on youtube – you basically turn one of the wheels and snap the spring back to their original positions. One of the video’s that I just found after seeing your question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKwR4T6Uj0U There is probably a better one 🙂 In the comments section under the video, I just noticed another tip that “On a HL-2270DW, you get to Continue Mode by pressing the GO button 7 times in a row”. I am going to try it…
