Wow – that was underwhelming. I went as far as downloading Amazon Underground – couldn’t see any sign of a credit.
So I called Amazon, after giving the CSR all my account info, she started grilling me about what this was all about, put me on hold for nearly five minutes, came back and said she didn’t see a credit.
Then she wanted more information from me about the app. I had to get off the phone to answer another call so I had to hang up.
No idea at all if that credit went through.
For anyone who had trouble like me – I tried on my iphone and only got the “get started” button, even on the desktop version and I tried on my pc- I finally found a way to do it, but it requires a bit of work. If you have a computer, you can download bluestacks, which is an android emulator. You can then go here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/amazon-mobile-llc/amazon/amazon-underground-6-1-4-200-android-apk-download/F and download the Amazon Underground app. From there I was able to login, download a game and get the $5 credit. Like I said, it’s a little more work, but if you really want the $5, it’s easy enough.
wish I could make it work. I could use the amazon credit badly. I am on my laptop and it isnt working
I tried on my laptop and sent the app to my kindle but never saw the credit when I tried to purchase an item. After chatting with amazon they credited my account the 5 dollars.
I got the email but I didn’t get the amazon credit
I tried to do this today from my macbook using safari and using my iPhone. I couldn’t get it to download on my mac. I received a message on my iPhone after going through the “get started” stage. The message reads “oh no, it looks like you’re on an IOS device. Currently the amazon App Store is only for android smartphones and tablets.” I do see that the link above states that it is available until December 11th. Not sure if its valid or not, but I didn’t have any luck.
I can’t get it to work on my iPad or laptop. It doesn’t even say get app. Says nothing. 🙁
