Collin- do you personally own this? Do the pods actually make lattes? Cinnamon Delsay is my favorite. It’s hard to imagine I could actually make these at home. Any idea how much the pods regularly run? Is that too many questions? 😉
Hi Heather! I do not personally own one of these machines so I cannot comment on the quality of the beverages. It looks like the pods average about 80¢ a piece so definitely something to keep in mind before you invest in the machine.
Thanks Collin- sounds like you need one, but then again you probably have barista’s at the local Starbucks that recognize you and look forward to your regular visits – LOL!
I have one of these and I am over the moon with it – I love it!!! I buy my pods at bed bath and beyond with the 20% coupons to bring the price down even more. Highly recommended. I could give or take the milk pods they give me – I actually just heat up milk. They sell a milk frother too if you really like foam
Free shipping over $40 with code HOLIDAYCHEER
THANKS Monica! Just added this to the post! 😀
How expensive are the pods for the machine… can you use Keurig or “generic” pods… ty
They’re pricey and you can’t use any other kind of pods.
starbucks for life website isnt working for me 🙁
Darn. I am seeing it work for me as I click through. Maybe wait a moment and try again as it may have a lot of traffic. Hope that helps!
Still not working once i go to log in 🙁
Doing the same thing when I try to purchase something on the starbucks site today 🙁
Bummer. Are you able to try it in a different browser? Hope that helps!
working on my phone :):) I NEED to win it for LIFE….lol
This machine ships FREE also no code needed.
That’s odd. I still need the code to grab the Free Shipping.
We have one at my work. It work wonderfully!
Awesome! Thanks for your feedback Jasmin!
Does anyone know if the pods are sold at grocery stores too?
Pods are hard to find, I pick mine up at bed bath and beyond when I have the 20% and $5 coupons!
I used to work at Starbucks and these machines are terrible! I had to do a demonstration when they first came out and was majorly disappointed. for how expensive they are they are not worth the hassle. They used a powdered milk pod for your latte and then you used a coffee pod. SO you have to use 2 pods…more expensive. There are major issues -about 30% of the time the pod doesn’t drop and it gets stuck or whatever. I do not recommend this. Keriug machines are way better.
Darn. Thanks for your feedback Rachael.
Would NOT recommend this machine – I purchased one earlier this year and the machine frequently leaked hot coffee over my countertop – it was replaced while in warranty and the replacement machine does the same. Threw it out as it wasn’t fit for recycling due to the hot liquid it constantly leaked, using Verissimo pods.I recommend buying a Nespresso machine for a similar price and taking advantage of the rebate on offer through the holidays.
Oh that’s unfortunate. I worked at Starbucks for 10 years and I love mine. I use it every day, but I do not use the milk pods because I prefer to use more milk in my lattes. I paid $149 for mine when it first came out and it’s worth every penny to me. I have never had a single jam nor a leak on my counter. When I first opened it, my water tank had a crack in it and they exchanged it no problem. I seriously can’t imagine life without mine. I had a keurig also but now prefer the espresso.
Happy Friday everyone 🙂 I just won 12 stars !!!Yay :)))
Woohoo! Congrats!
My mom bought me one last year and they are junk. It never fits back on tight so it leaks plus u can only use Starbucks pods are they are expensive. And they do not sell them in the grocery stores
So sorry to hear that. Thanks for your honest review.
Just went to Starbucks and got the last one. Can’t wait to try it! Thanks Collin! Merry Christmas!
Awesome! You’re welcome!
I got one 2 years ago, and I don’t think it’s that bad. I use it to make Americanos and I also like the chai tea pods:) my husband likes to use the frother and he makes cappuccinos. We don’t really like the milk pods. But I do have a keurig as well for reg black coffee, and hot chocolates:) there’s more variety with the keurig. I’d say at this price give it a try! It’s the cheapest I’ve seen it
Thanks so much for your feedback Jenny. I sure do appreciate it. 🙂
Hi, I went into my local Starbucks in Olympia and they have BOGO free on the pods (only appeared to be one size box, and I didn’t check to see the count inside). Hope that helps.
I got one last weekend for the $59 BUT my starbucks gave me 2 boxes of pods AND A large bottle of their vanilla syrup! I bought mine mostly for the espresso shots but so far I love it! I do NOT like the milk pods they have a horrible taste!
I love my Verismo! We only use it for lattes, not brewed coffee. The milk pods are whole milk and have a sweetness to them. The Christmas Espresso pods are my favorite of all time. The pods are always buy 3, get each box for $9.99 at Starbucks and I receive bonus stars for each box. Definitely my go to in the morning!
I bought a Verismo from Starbucks during the summer on clearance for $40 and LOVE it!! The pods are not that expensive, I use the espresso pods and DO no use the milk pods. I can get two shots out of one pod (and the shots are the same out of an expensive espresso machine, crema and all!) and just heat up regular milk to make my mocha mint drinks. Even at $12 for a box of pods, it’s cheaper per cup then one Starbucks Latte. Highly Recommend!!!
My Starbucks tells me they are being discontinued for the next best new brewer. Priced to reduce inventory. Store also is sold out of all pods. Had a sale: Buy three boxes, one must be a holiday flavor and get a $5 gift card and $9 off purchase. A sweet deal!
Hello, I went into my local Starbucks in Olympia today, and they have a sale on the pods, BOGO free at $11.99 a box ( I didn’t check the count, but there appeared to only be one size box on their shelf ). Hope that helps.
