I do like the way Toms fit and feel. But I hope people don’t buy Toms just because of the “get one, give one” practice. I didn’t know until my husband did a research project for school, but this is actually bad for third world countries. There becomes an overabundance of items that aren’t all needed. Also, the people who would normally be making shoes are out of a job. There’s a good article on http://www.whydev.org.
My dad works in Haiti- the shoes last for a week on that terrain 🙁
Love toms for my kids here though!
the free shoes they give away ate not the same ones we buy, FYI. Also, they go to other people in need. My sister in law teachers at a “poor school district” and everyone in their school, including their teachers, all got a free pair. Again, they were the different style than what we buy
I imagine their social practices must soothe many consumers, because Toms look very much like the $3 Kmart shoes none of the kids wanted to be caught dead in back in the day.
I don’t shop at Tom’s because of their giving back program, but I do commend them for it. Even if their shoes only last a week, that is a week that a child with out shoes will have shoes. Also, the shoemakers would have been without a job anyway, as these people cannot afford to buy food, much less shoes or clothing. We do a lot of mission work, and I am thankful for a company who tries to help those in need.
Watch the first episode of Adam Ruins Everything and it will ruin Toms shoes for you. Love that show. Best way to give is money!
Are they true size? Is youth #6 same as women’s #6?
I wear a youth 6 and I’m a women’s 8.5.
youth sizes are normally “men’s” sizes – I wear a youth 6, woman’s 8 in most brands
check the size chart, but you are probably looking for a youth 4
No, a youth 6 is about a women 8. If you are women 6 I would look for youth 4
Thant you everyone.
I’m using the library’s computer and for some reason all the links are blocked because of security reasons for being web advertisements. For this reason, I am unable to even see what website this sale is available on. Can anyone help with the name of the website? Thanks!
Isabel, it’s toms website

Thank you!!
I tried to go through Ebates but the same shoes aren’t showing up as available when I go through them. Strange…
I had an email from ebates about the sale and I used the link in the email to get it.
.
If I wear a 6.5/7 in regular shoes, what would my size in Tom’s be? I heard it runs large and stretches out so does Tom’s women size 6 and Youth size 4 seem accurate?
I’m having trouble with the extra 10% has anyone else had this issue?
I am still finding it to apply for me at checkout. Are you by chance on a mobile device? Hope that helps!
I am not; I am on a desktop. It does not show any discount when I apply it or remove it. The amount holds steady.
It is only for marketplace items, not shoes. Are you trying to use it on shoes?
What a bummer. I tried on shoes also. 🙁
Site will Not let on.”Sorry, your request could not be processed…”
Darn. Looks to be working now as I am clicking through if you wanted to try again!
