I have friend in Fl, is that okay if they buy ticket and we use it for our vacation in feb? We live in NC
It says you have to show proof of Florida residency at the gate:(
I clicked on the link and it says you must provide valid FL identification at the park entrance. Boo! I was hoping to have my cousin in FL purchase for my family.
Is it okay if FL residents buy it for non resident friend?
Maybe for a child. If you click the link it says “In addition, all adults will need to show proof of Florida residency at park entrance.”
No, because child piggy backs off of your ID. If you don’t have a FL ID card then the child can’t use that Resident ticket.
Unfortunately, you have to provide a valid Fl ID before you can enter the park with a residence ticket.
Where are the deals for people that don’t live in Florida that want to go to Disney world?
Exactly, Disney! Thanks anyway Hip2Save. If I lived in FL, I’d be all over this!
Mousesavers has a list of discounts available and they always keep it up to date.
I want to know the same thing, con someone in FL buy the tickets for someone in another state?
The military discount tickets can only be used by the military person. When they go to the park, the military person (who got the tickets) has to be present
Wahooo waiting on my Illinois discount. 😂😂😂😂
FL resident here, just want to point out that they have done this price at around this time a year for the last 2 years………deal lasted about a month or two last time.
Also, there’s no way getting around the Florida residency…. they ask for proof at the gate…. however I doubt they would do that for children, so if you have at least one family member that lives here that you plan on going with….could probably save a bit of money on the kids’ tickets if you already planned to visit more than one day…..don’t take my word on that though and call to ask first.
Unfortunately you have to show proof of residency in order to get the discount. If you are not a resident there are other offers available. I am a Disney Travel planner, if you would like a free quote email me at mandy@lovethemousetravel.com
Is it three consecutive days? Or can I use one day per month??
Hi there! The details list “Tickets may be used on non-consecutive days” 🙂
Thank you!!!! 🙂
I don’t know about you but three days of Disney in a row makes my body ache all over just thinking about it. Can I use it one day and have my sister take the kids the next?
You provide a finger scan when scanning your ticket to enter, so probably not.
Also, we did 3 days in a row last year and NEVER AGAIN lol we do 2 days and then take a day off before going again.
We did 6 days in a row three years ago with a 15 month old. Leaving for Disney again in 6 weeks with a 4 & 1 year old. It’s fun, in a kind of crazy way. Lol
This baffles me along with the annual pass they sale to locals. At Disneyland some locals use Disney as a babysitter and drop off groups of preteens on weekend days by themselves. You think they would want genuine tourists but every time we go it is worse and worse because it is so busy thanks to the majority of locals that go. Now they want to start charging for a fast pass ?!?
Awwww. Fast pass was pretty cool. :/
I think preteens at any amusement park on the weekends is standard. Just like them hangin out at the mall
I think it’s funny that you seem frustrated by FL residents hanging out at local establishments. I think it’s nice that we our offered something for being a resident. You think it’s annoying that Disney is crowded? Try living in Florida where it’s crowded all winter by tourist. It’s a struggle just to get thru traffic and make it to work on time Mon-fri. And I’m not complaining about it, I love living here but you need to see it from our side. Thanks.
Right there with ya! In FL, you get not only summer tourists but spring break & all the snowbirds too. You’re annoyed by locals crowding up places you want to go? That’s exactly how we feel about tourists. There’s a collective sigh of relief when they’re (mostly) gone.
All the Canadians are here now. I enjoy them when making conversation at the beach but not when I’m trying to quickly get out of Walmart!
Yes! I live in Orlando. The sad thing is that there are many kids who live here and have never been. The majority of jobs here are in hospitality and pay very little. So yes, providing a cheaper option during a non-peak time is ideal. The monthly payment and discount allows me to share the magic with my little family…otherwise we would never be able to afford it. Disneyland is different and very compact. WDW is not like that at all. The closest thing we have to the Disneyland scenario above is school groups or large groups from other countries…both can be aggravating. I consider the discount compensation for ridiculous amounts of traffic and people who have no idea where they are going or what they are doing…left turn from right lane…driving on the wrong side of the road…no lights on at night…
Morna you said it so perfect. I love the left from a right lane or vice versa. Or just completely stopping so they can get over. Granted some are locals too. I am on 192 and it can be crazy. Many residents here can not even think about going to Disney because of the cost so I like they do this for residents.
I live in the Vegas area, so I totally understand about tourists! But I love living here! Nv residents get some pretty nice discounts on shows, exhibits, rides, and other entertainment. I think it’s a nice little incentive of having to deal with the ‘out of towners’ 😉
That’s why you go right when the park is open. Preteens are still in bed at 8am. Plus they aren’t charging for all FastPasses, that’s if you want to opt-in for the new MaxPass program. That new MaxPass only makes sense for those one-time visiting tourists. As an AP holder, you can just grab a fastpass in the morning when the teeny boppers are still asleep.
Im not into the whole disney thing but my sister offers free planning advice ect. jorie@onceuponavacation.com feel free to email her if you have questions.
Thank you for the link for military discounts. With 2 kids in college, every little discount helps.
Check out Shades of green for military lodging! They have a shuttle that goes to WDW and they sell the military priced park hopper pass. I hear they’re better than MWR/ ITR prices.
I work for Disney, you have to show proof of FL residency at the gate for everyone for this ticket.
Hi Brtittany,
If I buy a ticket for me ( a FL resident) and if I can not go and give it to my dad (another FL resident) would that still work?
Doubtful. The ticket will be in the persons name who picks it up and they will fingerprint you when you enter the park and link your print to that ticket.
Brittney, if I go with my brother (a socal resident) can he buy both our tickets at the discounted price?
What is the price of this ticket without this deal?
Make sure you guys are noticing that it says “Nonconsecutive” days.
You cannot use the ticket 2 days in a row. Or for a while weekend block. It’s definitely geared towards florida residents who want to maybe go every other weekend.
Tickets MAY be used on non-consecutive days. I live in Miami and we use ours 3 days in a row.
Yes you definitely can use them back to back I had to call and make sure I bought these last week…
Please post more Disneyland, Disney World & Disney cruise deals. Looking for affordable Disney vacation.
Hi Cas,
Disney has some offers out right now that will help make you vacation more affordable. If you are interested I would like to price some packages for you. My services are completely free and I book directly with Disney. mandy@lovethemousetravel.com
I love Disney world! We try to go every other year as it’s very expensive for my family of 5. I wish I could take advantage of this deal as it’s a great deal, but not a FL resident. ☹️
Not a FL resident but I think it’s great that Disney offers its residents discounts! It’s EXPENSIVE to go to WDW for even one day. It’s good business and “neighborly” to offer residents a discount. It’s like Tables in Wonderland and other resident discounts… good sense, IMO.
Hi Collin do you know if the California Disneyland must be used on consecutive days? You only said for Florida is not consecutive.
Doesn’t need to be consecutive. I heard that all 3 days must be used within 13 day period.
Hi Sandy! I am not finding it to list that information in the details for the California offer. You could always call to ask to be sure! (714) 781-4565 Hope this helps!
Hi, what if a Fl resident buys three tickets and picks them up, and invites two friends non residents of Florida…can his/her friends still go in?
No. They check ID at the gates.
If my Dad, a Florida resident wanted to take my two children non Florida residents when they go visit him would he be able to get this deal? They are both under 7 but have been to Disney before and had their fingerprint scanned??
Yes it could, as long as they are not old to have IDs (like a drivers license). They fingerprint scans are only associated with tickets (not the person), so that wouldn’t make a difference.
What about if my sister who lives in Florida, can she get me in
Does this include Parking ?
Can you buy these special tickets at the gate? Thank you.
FYI for ALL NON Florida residents….you may Not use this discount even if you have friends and Family here.
You would have to show proof with
1) A Florida Drivers licence,( giving up your state licence)
2) Or By A Florida state issued ID Card, Which may effect your out of state licence.
Or by having a Florida Utility ( Power, Water) in your name, showing a Florida address with your out of state drivers licence.
Does anyone know if I can visit the same park twice with the FL resident Discover Disney deal? We went to 3 parks this week but the crowds and wait times were insane so we missed so much. I’m trying to see if I can add other day for $20 to return to Hollywood Studios.
