Sam’s Club Shoppers – Skip the Checkout Lines & Make Paying a Breeze

If you don’t like waiting in the checkout line to pay, you’ll definitely want to download Sam’s Club’s Scan and Go App (for iOS or Android devices). This app allows members to scan items as you’re adding them to your cart AND then pay directly via the mobile app… NO standing in checkout lanes!
Then, after you’ve paid and your transaction is complete, just show the e-receipt barcode on your mobile phone to a greeter standing by the door and you are on your way! Easy peasy!
Costco needs to get this! I’ve used it at Sam’s and it is amazing!

Haven’t seen any instant savings offers in a while so I haven’t been to Sam’s. The only thing I don’t like about scan and go is not being able to use all my walmart gift cards I earn from Swagbucks. Hopefully they let you do that soon.

I LOVE this app! Another great benefit is that your receipts are stored on it. No more looking for a lost receipt, or finding one completely faded!

I must strenuously oppose promotion of this idea. This is just another way for the Walton family to increase profit by firing cashiers. If you have any interest in promoting employment among those who desperately need it in an environment where finding a job is getting harder and harder, you will not use self-checkout lines or this app. Sams club is getting you to do their work for free unless they are giving you a discount for checking yourself out.
That’s a great point. My mom works for Walmart and I agree with you totally. Sure, it’s a time saver but we need to keep people employed so they can have money to buy their families food and necessities.
Also how many people will be dishonest and not scan every item in their cart? I can see the people with overloaded carts getting away with it. The people at the door can’t possibly count all of the items on the receipt.
I used it last night first time and what a time saver! Love it. I had little issue it did not recognize my card when i wanted to pay but then i realized i was not close to the register. When i got closer it went through with no problem! And when the lady scanned my receipt at the door she could see pictures of all my items on her little device so it was easier for her to recognize items purchased.
