As I’ve mentioned a few times now (Sorry – I am a bit obsessed with this candy deal 😀 ), through June 3rd, Walgreens is offering a $2 Register Reward when you buy one select Black Forest, Trolli or Now & Later 7-9 ounce bag of candy – which are also on sale for just $2! Yes, pretty sweet!
You can then use this $2 Register Reward in a second transaction on anything you may need in the store (other than the typical exclusions on these type of Catalina coupons). To get ya thinkin’, here’s an idea that will score ya FREE aluminum foil and storage bags with NO manufacturer’s coupons needed!
TRANSACTION #1:
Buy 1 Black Forest, Trolli or Now and Later Select Candy 7 to 9 oz $2 (Regularly $3.49) = $2 RR
Pay $2
Get back a $2 Register Reward
TRANSACTION #2:
Buy 1 Nice! Aluminum Foil 25 sq. ft. $0.99 (with in ad coupon)
Buy 1 Nice! Fold & Close Sandwich Bags 50 or 150 ct, Freezer 15 or 20 ct. or Storage 15 to 25 ct. $0.99 (with in ad coupon)
Buy 1 Vanilla Caramel Candy 39¢ (filler item to get total over $2 mark (found by the register) – OR choose another inexpensive item that you may need)
Total = around $2.37
Use your $2 RR (earned from purchasing candy above)
Final cost 37¢ (+ tax) OR whatever the cost of the filler item you choose is!
I haven’t couponed in a long time. Can I use a register reward I got for something else last week to buy the candy, and still receive the $2 register reward?

Is there a limit on the reeards
You can only earn one reward per like item, per transaction. IE-> You can only buy one bag of candy and to get the RR each transaction. You can spend as many of the like rewards that you’ve accumulated over the week on something else in the same transaction. IE-> I can use 3 of the candy RR’s to purchase 3 other items in a single transaction. (Like my husband and I both bought a bag of candy today (2RR’s), and I’ll use them both next week in a single transaction.

So either the candy is free or whatever you buy with the RR is free. But you pay for one or the other. If you were planning on buying either the candy anyway, or some other items worth $2.00, it would be a good deal.

How many times per rewards card can you do this while its valid?
RR’s don’t track, so you can purchase it multiple times (unless the store limits qty), as long as it’s one per transaction.
I wanted to buy vitamins with the RR’s. can I use 4 RR’s on one bottle of vitamins?
Yes, as long as you add some cheap filler items to your transaction. You can use one coupon per item. To use four RR’s in one transaction you would need to purchase 4 items.
I bought a trolli bag and it didn’t work UGH

Another yummy way to use the RR is the chobani is on sale 5/$5 and BOGO1/2 so .75/each. I had two of the RR so it works perfectly.
I did this deal today. I always need foil & baggies. I’ll go back tomorrow to get toilet cleaner.
