Thanks. My phone has been having “issues” lately… ๐
You’re welcome Sonya!
I had this phone before I upgraded to the s8,absolutely loved it and wouldn’t have upgraded at all if my husband hadn’t gone and upgraded our phones without me knowing
Happy to hear how much you liked this one Jessica! Thanks for sharing!
Ugh, my boyfriend just got the s8 from Costco on Tuesday and the $32/month was a hard pill to swallow. Does anyone know if he can return the phone within a certain period of time? He isn’t picky and would totally love to do the s7 for this price!
I’m not sure about the return policy (I’m sure you can call and ask) but I did just get the S8 from Best Buy for $18.75/ month so definitely would be a savings for you!
Most places give you 2 weeks!
If I wanted to get this as a Christmas present for my son, could I wait to activate it?
yes
nice…thanks for the post!…i ordered as a back up phone…
You’re very welcome!
Thank you Thank you – I did not want to get back on a $35 per month phone plan – and was going to go buy the moto z that is advertised at Costco (not my fav phone but for the price) – but this equals about the same price and is a much better phone – so for $7.99 per month – THANK YOU!
Awesome! So happy you can score the savings Denise! You’re very welcome!
My husband has been needing a new one and this has great reviews online! Thanks for the update ๐
You’re welcome!
Thank you so much for posting!! Both my husband and I are in desperate need for a new phone but we couldn’t bring ourselves to spend $20 to $30 each a month.Thank you for helping my family save so much through out the years!
So happy to help you grab what your family needs on the cheap! You are very welcome!
So are phones no longer free with upgrades or a one time fee with upgrades, I do not want to be on a payment plan if I have to pay I’d rather pay upfront.
Is this only for current customers?
From what I understand, if you purchase this phone and plan to use it with Verizon’s unlimited plan, there will be a $40/mo “line access fee” on top of the monthly rate for the unlimited plan, because the phone is purchased at a discount. If you pay full retail for the phone, the line access fee is still $20/mo.
was trying to find a deal for a couple weeks and this appears…thank you much
Perfect! You’re welcome Donia!
I just called Verizon because I did not see anywhere that I had to change to an unlimited plan – and they assured me that they looked at the Best Buy Promo – they looked at my new billing and there is no requirement for plan changes.
This is my details on my checkout screen….Verizon Plan
Monthly Charges
Samsung – Galaxy S7 edge 32GB – Silver Titanium (Verizon)
Device Payment (24 payments)$7.99/mo.
One-Time Charges
Activation Fee$30.00
$7.99/mo. for 24 months. $0 down for qualified customers. Tax on full retail price due at time of sale. Full price: $792.00
I see no other details in regards to additional charges with the exception of the activation fee..
That was exactly mine – I did store pick up and BB just opened here a bit ago so I will go pick up shortly. And again – I even called Verizon so I think we are all good and got a heck of a deal ๐ = I love that everyone is so helpful on this site!
Are you guys already Verizon customers? I am and am one of the 1% that is still on the old grandfathered unlimited plan. What plan do you have?
From the Verizon website:
How does the line access fee work with my smartphone device payment?
If you’re currently making monthly device payments or own the phone, the monthly access charge will be $20.
If you purchased the phone at a discounted price, the monthly access charge will remain at $40 until each device contract expires. Once each device contract expires, the monthly access charge automatically drops to $20.
It says this on the checkout page:
These amounts will be billed by Verizon and do not include your existing line or account charges, or fees, taxes and surcharges which can add between 7% and 46% to your bill. Except as follows, your current Verizon price plan and features will not be changed with this transaction. Each device added or upgraded to your account will incur a Monthly Line Access Fee which may vary based upon your contract or device payment enrollment. Those customers Upgrading with a 2-Yr contract who have an Unlimited Data package will be enrolled in the Verizon 2GB Data Plan for that line for $30/month. If you complete this transaction, Unlimited Data cannot be returned to your line of service.
Thank you so much! I just got out of contract with my phone and all of a sudden I’m having “No Sim” or “Sim not readable”. Annnd Verizon was no help. I couldn’t stomach paying monthly on a phone…I really like the $20 a month I’m paying now ๐ But for $7.99 a month it’s worth it. Also read that you can’t make extra payments on the phone but you can make one lump payment to pay it off. So that is my plan.
My son has this phone and said it’s the best Samsung phone he’s ever had. I also did some review digging and it has really good reviews. I’d suggest getting a case that covers the WHOLE phone as I read the screen cracks easily. I bought the Otterbox Defender for it. I have particular case on my current phone for the last 2 years and it’s been flawless. Walmart seller has it for $26 and change……or you could buy from Otterbox for $60 LOL just an fyi it only comes in black ๐
You’re welcome Nanette! Thanks for the helpful feedback!
I did a plan similar to this a year ago and it was a DISASTER! Best Buy didn’t tell Sprint my discounts … Sprint wouldn’t honor them … it was a huge headache. I had to get the store manager involved with Sprint management. Make sure to keep ALL paperwork just in case …
I’m not sure I understand how this works. u order phone & don’t pay anything when u order it? U add it to your existing plan & then u start paying 7.99 a month with your existing plan with Verizon?
Any idea how long this deal will last?
Nevermind, I pulled the trigger on three for the whole family!
Is everyone else’s taxes coming up for $55? How can they tax on the retail value and not the actual price?
My sales tax came to $61. This is the norm in buying cellphones. My cell phone I have now was free but had to pay sales tax on $400
It looks like the Verizon price has gone up to $14.99/month. ๐ Was hoping to snag it, but wanted to sleep on it and do some more research. Guess I missed out.
Okay….am i the only one with Verizon that the order was cancelled because Best Buy could not activate the phone? i got an email saying that the order was cancelled when i called Best Buy they said a ton of Verizon customers had been cancelled and there was nothing Best Buy could do.
Any AT&T deals? Love the price!
I’m a current Verizon customer. I purchased one AT best buy yesterday and upgraded my son’s phone. I had upgraded using his line for my phone and had to pay the small amount remaining. No problems. I paid $55 tax. There will be a $30 upgrade fee on my next bill. The payment will be 7.99. I verified with Verizon my billing and it actually went down from $16.
I suggest checking online to see if your best buy has them in stock. I purchased the last one and I wanted to order a second one for another line. They can’t order for you there. You’ll need to do it online.
