It doesn’t matter, the $10 cancels out your shipping charge of $8.95 really. Not that great of a deal. The hot deal on the Wellie Wishers at this time is at Costco. They come with several extra items for cheap.

My daughter loves these girls. We have two of them. Our Target stopped selling them too, so I’ll actually have to buy them from AG now!

Anybody have any reviews for these dolls? My daughter has been reading all the books and I’m trying to decide if I should get her one. Is the hair nice?
My daughter loves them. We have 3. the ones with curly hair their hair gets fuzzy quickly after a little bit of playing. We have the Willa one and it’s my daughters favorite but I hate the fact it’s always frizzy. You can fix it with a little bit of water and brunch. However I like the our Camille and Emerson better
We don’t have these, but the regular AG dolls and I would assume their hair is the same as the regular ones. Don’t use brushes with plastic bristles, only metal ones, and spritz with a little water before brushing. If it’s really frizzy, there are videos showing you how to de-frizz using fabric softener. I’ve done it with my girls’s AG horses and it actually worked. Not as smooth as original, but definitely better than frizzy.
We have 3 of these dolls, my daughters LOVE them! We have Kendal, Willa and Ashlynn. Willa’s hair is a little harder to care for, but the other 2 are fine. They are great for younger American girl fans as they seem to be a bit more durable. Their accessories are adorable too! Hope this helps! 🙂

What’s the difference between these well wisher dolls and true AG dolls?
Wellie wishers are like 4 inches smaller
Main difference is the size; these are only 14.5″ tall and the regular ones are 18″. Their bodies are also plastic, not cloth, and their eyes don’t close like the original AG dolls.
The AG dolls and books are aimed at girls 8+. The Wellie Wishers are trying to market to the girls between Bitty Babies and AG girls – roughly 5-7 year olds. Their books are written at a lower reading level and the dolls focus on life lessons for that age group with a focus on friendship. Physcially they are smaller as another commenter mentioned so it’s harder to find clothes for them. AG is rapidly expanding their offerings but (unlike the regular AG dolls) you can’t use the generic clothes from Walmart/Target/ToysRUs for the Wellie Wishers.

The Costco Welli Wishers have extra outfits. Soon Costco with get the American Girl doll Kit Kitridge with extra outfits for $120.00. Last year they got Samantha with extra outfits.
Our Barnes & Noble sells them and I was able to use my 20% B&N coupon.
