How do Bonus Rewards work?
They are different than your normal rewards. Your bonus rewards certificate will be available in your online account within 5 weeks. Simply log in to or create your account at officedepot.com/rewards and click on “View My Rewards Certificates” to view and print your unexpired reward certificates. You can also access your rewards certificates on your smartphone after creating an online account.
Reward certificates can be redeemed at any Office Depot or OfficeMax store, online or by phone at 1.800.463.3768. For online purchases, your unexpired certificates are available at checkout.
Can you use rewards to pay for batteries and still get rewards from this purchase?
Yes I have been rolling my rewards over for a few years doing just that. I almost always use my rewards to buy batteries and have virtually paid nothing for batteries for years.
If the batteries were for 1 cents, you could have rolled the rewards, but seeing that it is 100% back you will not be able to roll the rewards.
Elizabeth, I have found what Vanessa said to be true. If they are free, then you don’t get the rewards when you pay with rewards but if you pay any amount for the rewards items, you can use your rewards to pay and will get new rewards in your account for the items purchased
So I could use my rewards for the paper and still get rewards since I will be paying .01
I’m so confused! I have $20 in reward money. If I buy the 15.99 batteries with my reward monies and get item for free, I WILL NOT earn any rewards on that purchase. How would you ever be able to roll rewards? Please give me an example of how you would be able to roll my rewards in the battery 15.99 deal?
When a promotion says “Everyone pays ( )” and the end price is not completely free, this is when you can roll your rewards. When it is a 100% rebate, or a 50% rebate, your rewards will not roll. It has to say “Everyone pays…” I’ve been watching this based on other commenters over the last 5-6 weeks and it has worked well for me. I’ll skip out on the batteries this week, and wait until I can pay a penny again and roll rewards!
Perfect. what a wonderful explanation! I really appreciate your time posting this!
Thanks for the tip on this — I’m brand new to Office Depot Rewards since I just signed up on Black Friday, and I feel like I have been missing out on deals for years!
I have a bunch of very specific questions for somebody who has a very thorough knowledge of the program — would somebody be able to contact me at johnny (nineteenEightyFour) Yahoo please?
The 27 gallon storage containers are on sale for $7.00. Are there any coupon deals to add on for an even better deal?
Great find! You can use promo code 81133280 to get 20% back In Rewards on that purchase.
Cool thanks!!
Hi, what is the typical expiration period for the certificates – ie, how long do you have before it expires? thank!s
This is on their website. Hope it helps!
Rewards are issued as a reward certificate at officedepot.com/rewards. You can also access your certificate on your smartphone or in store by asking a cashier. Rewards for everyday purchases and all recycling rewards are issued within 30 days after the end of the calendar quarter. Rewards for bonus rewards promotions are issued the next day after the promotion posts. Reward certificates expire the last day of the following calendar quarter from when they were earned. No extensions or exchanges will be allowed for expired rewards certificates
Thanks for posting!
You are welcome!

The post says “starting 12/3”. Did it work for you today????
