What is a Catalina?
It’s a coupon that prints out with your receipt when you check out.
A coupon that prints from a separate machine at the register. (Catalina I believe is the name of the company) it would be good on your next purchase.
Also I sometimes make sure they have the machine on and that it has paper.

I have done this deal with only buying 2 per pck. It works. Sometimes the Catalina’s aren’t registering when you roll, so just make sure to have them scan the Catalina first and then your coupons in your next transaction. Hope that helps

I saw this on the Krazy Coupon Lady right after I bought my 6 packs in one transaction. Not a huge deal, but still. I got a $8/$40 coupon back, $20 bonus cash, and $10 Catalina. $39 + tax out of pocket. So next time (this week), I will go and buy 6 more packs – $39 after coupons – $20 bonus cash – $10 Catalina – $8/$40 purchase (given before my $12 in coupons) = $1 out of pocket and get $20 in bonus cash and $10 Catalina. So cumulatively $40 out of pocket and $30 remaining to use in store for 12 packs. $0.83/pack for my favorite diapers. I’m not complaining. $0.02-$0.05 per diaper.
The bonus cash comes off first, then your total needs to be $40 after that in order for the $8 off $40 coupon to be applied. I have the same coupon and that’s what the cashier told me. Maybe u will have better luck

Its printing..I used mf and catalina still printing another catalina.
I think it’s just Walgreens. No where else is it that hard to coupon.

Hip2Save was actually late on the glitch, i saw it on KrazyCouponLady yesterday afternoon. When i went last evening i saw two other ladies with carts full of diapers. There were only sizes Newborn, 4, 5 and 6 left on the shelf. Its not fair/just to single out the Hip2Save staff when they were a bit late to post the glitch.

Today I discovered my dislike for the bonus cash program.
Never put your card or phone number in first. Make sure you scan coupons first. Then put in your phone number. I don’t like the fact that if I spend $5 and I have $20 bonus cash but it won’t deduct 5 and leave me with 15.

Nifty I agree with you on the bonus cash and having to use the whole $20 in one transaction. I called and emailed Rite Aid and let them know how I felt about it. If enough customers let them know it stinks maybe they will revamp the program and how the bonus cash is applied. Do the coupons go through ok if you scan your card last?

i did this deal yesterday afternoon. and bought 12 diapers. if you follow the above and repeat this transaction 6 times, you max out the bonus cash too so ends up being a 22.00 money maker. and walk away with a 10.00 catalina and 40.00 bonus cash

Yes, still working. Just did three transactions. Register would not accept the second Catalina on transaction #3. They had to manually enter. Catalina did print after each transaction. Also received $20 bonus points after transaction #3. I have not used my Catalina from transaction #3 yet. HTH
I heard if you scan catalina then coupons it will work. So that’s the way I did it and all catalinas worked and printed again.
Yep! Crushed it! SO HAPPY! Also, make sure they scan the $10 Catalina FIRST and then the Huggies coupons. They figured that out after the first rejection. Then no issues at all!

Yes that’s how it works to use Catalina’s first. I didn’t figure that out until after I got home. What I spent I made back in bonuses, no money maker like to anticipated. Gave the cashier my coupons first and the machine beeped and rejected the Catalina. Now I know.
I just did this deal this morning in Brooklyn ny. The catalina is printing with the purchase of just 2 diapers.
I am also not a fan of the new bonus cash. If you have $20 on your card, but your transaction is only $10 it will not deduct from your bonus cash like Plenti used to. Probably will avoid Rite Aid moving forward 🙁
I went this morning and it DID NOT print catalinas for transactions that I used the catalina.
I bought 8 packs of diapers in sets of 2, and 8 packs of wipes.
For the 1st diaper transaction, I used 2 $2 coupons paid $14.02 (with tax) and got a $10 catalina. I used that catalina and 2 $2 coupons on the 2nd diaper transaction for a total of $4.02 and got no catalina. Third and 4th transactions matched the 1st and 2nd.
5th transaction was 8 packs of wipes at BOGO Free. Used 2 $1 off 2 packs coupons, paid $12.80 (with tax) for 8 packs.
Total out of pocket $48.88 which is like $6.11 per pack of diapers and get the wipes free. Still a great deal considering the diapers are regular $8.49 per pack and wipes are $1.98 ($10.47 per wipe/diaper set) at my local Walmart
PLUS-
For all of this, I earned 1 $20 bonus cash when you spend $50 and am approx $35 toward a 2nd $20 when you spend $50 bonus.
What happens if you had Plenti points left from the old system? Are they gone? I’m confused by the “new bonus cash”.

How do you use the $20 bonus? Does it automatically apply to next purchase?
Kitty, cash bonus is added to your account the next day then you must have a minimum of $20 being purchased in order for the bonus cash to come off the total. It doesn’t work if you have increments.

As someone stated above, if you’re doing any transaction after your original one and trying to use the Catalina, make sure the cashier rings that before any coupons, in order to get another Catalina. It worked for me at least.

Wow, Ali, sorry to hear that. Thanks for letting us know. There does not always seem to be a rhyme or reason for some of these offers working, and yet not others. As I mentioned, I gave the cat first and Qs next, as recommened by others on here. Yet some people have said it worked regardless of order. Maybe you could return and have them re-ring it for you, if you have a nice store.
When I bought 2 packs today, I used my coupons first then gave my Catalina coupon (from yesterday) and it still printed another Catalina coupon out. I don’t think the order of the coupons work. At least it still worked fine in my area.

Has anyone had to contact Catalina about it not printing. I purchased 1 pull ups and 1 snug and dry 5x at one store and the Catalina printed each time. My daughter went to another store and it did not print. I took them back to that store and asked to try a different register since they said the first machine wasn’t working and the second machine wasn’t working either. The Catalina is spend 30.00 so I think If I email them they will deny it

Happy to report that deal is still working as of 8:45 PM EST. I went back this evening and paid with cat first, then Qs, and 2nd cat printed just fine. It hesitated at first, held my breath, and sure enough it came out. Have to add though that the shelves were picked clean. (It was sparse on Monday, but at least there were some available. I picked up the last 2 boxes, only Overnights were left, as well as the last 2 boxes of pink Pullups. Pointing that out because there were tons of the blue Pullups left on the shelf. I thought that was kind of odd. Praying that this is still working tomorrow so everyone can finish up their deals.

I can’t believe that the deal is still working! I did this today in NY 3 pm. Technically, my first transaction didn’t print at all. Luckily a manager walked by when I asked the cashier about a catalina printing and the manager said that that particular machine is out of order. She then refunded me the first transaction and moved me to another cashier. It worked all 3 times (but I made sure the cashier scanned the catalina first). Thanks Hip2save team!!!

The Catalina’s will be printing until 1/21/18. I purchased some Huggies earlier this week and that printed out on a slip. My Aunt purchased Huggies this week at Giant Food and received one too.

They would not print the Catalina in my Georgia Rite Aid, they said they’re no longer printing catalinas only for diapers because people were returning the diapers and making cash.
