These 2 ingredient air fryer bagels taste AMAZING!
For only a couple of main ingredients and very little cooking time, this is a definite must-try recipe! I love that there’s no yeast required, no boiling, and the dough comes together easily.
Hip Tip: Don’t have self-rising flour? For each cup of all-purpose flour, add 2 teaspoons of baking powder + 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Love everything-flavored bagels?
I do, too! Ideally, my favorite is Everything Bagel Seasoning like Trader Joe’s carries! I didn’t have that on hand, so I combined poppy seeds, sesame seeds, garlic flakes, onion flakes, and salt to make my own. It’s so good!
It’s also worth mentioning that this is a Weight Watchers idea and is said to be 3 smart points per bagel. Consider using this simple dough in other ways too, like breadsticks, pizza, calzones, etc!
And let me know when you do, because I’ll be right over to help taste test! 🤣
Love Everything Bagels? You have to try this easy Everything But the Bagel Cheese Ball!
Hi—I’m curious how far in advance you can make the dough? Can I make it the night before?
You use the dough straight away cos it doesn’t need to be proved xx
Does this work with normal yogurt (not greek)? If not and I want to use it do I have to change the ratio of the flour and yeast? thanks!
I’m sorry, of course I meant “If so” 🙂 !
I am a lifetime WW member and have been using the two ingredient dough for a while. It is great for many things (like a hot dog wrap, or biscuits). I have never thought of using my air fryer to cook them (have always done it in the oven.) So, thanks again Colin for another great idea. One extra step that I do (but it can be messy) is that I boil them for about a minute before I bake them. It makes them puff up so they look a bit larger. Can be difficult to flip them in the boiling water; I use a spatula.
oops; one more comment. I find that if I save the dough and don’t bake it all at the same time, the dough will last in the fridge for about a day but then it goes dead/flat and gets a little gray looking.
Thanks for sharing that!
Oh nice – yes you’ll like the air fryer method – this dough rocks!
What temperature do cook them in a regular oven?
What temperature and how long do you bake them in your oven?
Does boiling make them chewy like a real bagel?
Does anybody know how many carbs these bagels are ??
has to be greek yogurt? Can we add cheese to the top?
I topped mine with shredded parm and came out yummy!
First time trying these and will be a must make going forward.
They looks so good ,must try them
Just made these for the first time. So easy to do. I put everything bagel seasoning they are amazing!!!!! Will make again.
Thanks for the recipe.
Oh yay! Yummy I love these – thanks for sharing Lynn!
Can you use heart health bisquick in stead of flour?
Do u know the nutritional value? How many carbs?
Hi Denise! I did find that it looks like this recipe has about 26.5 g of carbs per serving. Here is another option with only 6 net carbs per serving –> https://hip2keto.com/recipes/easy-keto-bagels/
Hope this helps!
Oh my!! These are fabulous. I also took some crushed walnuts and dried cranberries and roll them in it before I baked them. They were fabulous too. The everything seasoning for bagels were awesome too.
Oh yum! Thanks for sharing!
I love the new recipe! I used cinnamon and sugar and it was delicious
Really worth trying . So simple. Will make some for Doc Uncle.
Anybody tried these with Gluten Free Flour? Curious for our GF household. Thanks!
I used gluten free flour and added 1/4 tsp extra xanthum gum. I used about 1/2 c extra flour. But you can tell if you need more flour or yogurt when mixing. It turned out great!
Can you substitute almond flour make them keto friendly
Try these —> https://hip2keto.com/recipes/easy-keto-bagels/
I’ve used a similar recipe to make pretzels. They were pretty good too!
Thanks for sharing!
Really thought it wasnt gonna work out when I was making the dough, but it came out amazing!! Dont be fooled!
These turned out perfect! I used the melted butter to make the seasonings stick. I’m going to try a gluten free dairy free version and see how they turn out. I did flake salt on 2 and everything seasoning on 2.
Worked like a charm! I guess I am not buying bagels in the store again……
Worked like a charm! I got inventive and made one with poppy, one with sesame, one with cheese, and one covered with a seasoning blend.
I guess the grocery store just lost my bagel business…….
I have multiple modes on air fryer. Do I just use air fry or bake?
Omg! I can’t wait to try these! And I just bought the Everything But the Bagel seasoning from ALDI last week. Please keep sharing more air fryer recipes. I just bought an air fryer based on one of the deals you shared and am still figuring out what to make in it.
Oh yay! You’ll love it 😍 Thanks for the feedback Grace!
I just made these this morning! Wow! Because this is such a customizable recipe, I added a little salt to my dough (as a cook I like flavor!), and did the egg wash with everything bagel seasoning. I have the 6-qt air fryer so I was able to do all 4 bagels at once. They came out perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. We did not toast them, but if you wanted a truer bagel experience, you could split and toast for even more crunch. I will definitely be making these again. <3
I made these and used half whole wheat flour for the dough. After making into the bagel shape and resting for about 15 minutes, I placed them in a pot of boiling water seasoned with about a tablespoon of molasses and about 2 teaspoons of baking soda. I boiled them for about 75 seconds. Remove from the boiling water with a slotted spoon. Top with bagel seasoning. I baked these in the oven at 400° for 18 minutes. They turned out more like a true bagel. Next time I will try the air fryer but since this was my first time making bagels I thought I would do it in the oven first.
Wow so awesome- thanks for sharing helpful tips!
hi tried the bagels in my ninja foodi but it doesnt go up to 300f is this a merican thing only 210c id love to make these any suggestions please thankyou as im trying healthier recipes
330F is 165C according to google. hope that helps.
Thanks for this amazing recipe! I was hankering a bagel and had self rising flour but only had flavored low fat strawberry greek yogurt on hand… it turned out GREAT! Such a nice texture inside. I seasoned with Italian sea salt garlic & parsley seasoning and the half way thru baking I added shredded pecorino romano… WOW. Sorry to the bagel shop, I will no longer being buying their banker’s dozen!
Thanks for the great feedback and review! So happy that you enjoyed it!
Flatter, top with a bit of pizza sauce, cheese and your favorite pizza topping. Bake or air fry. Yummy personal pizzas.
Mine didn’t cook inside. The outside was nice an crisp but inside was very soft and doughy. Cooked them in Ninja air fryer at 330 for 10 minutes.
I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong. I’ve been making these since the recipe came out on here a few months ago. They come out excellent. But I end up using almost double the flour than the recipe states. If I use the regular one cup it says, the mix is still mushy and sticky. Am I missing something?
