I had an older similar samsung tablet I loved. Spent $250 on it so this is a steal. It lasted about 3 years until my son took it out of its case & I dropped it only 3 inches on my counter. It never turned back on.
So I would say its not as durable as say an ipad, but plenty durable if you make sure to leave the cover on. Everything else is great about it.
ALL tablets dropped on a hard surface without protection will break!!! Dont say ipads are stronger because apple uses samsung glass screens..
My husband has had this tablet for the last 4 years. It has lasted way longer than I had anticipated. It is still in good working order. My only concern is the battery key be dieing out slightly.
I purchased one of these last year at Sam’s and it included the extra 32 GB SD card and I love how vivid the colors are. We have always used Samsung android cell phones but I also have a newer iPad and the colors on the Samsung seem crisper and brighter. I did invest in an Otterbox case because the Samsung was for us by the grandchildren. I would highly recommend it at this price or the Costco deal if that is an option.

FYI: Costco has the black Galaxy Tab A 10.1 Wifi tablet with a 32 GB Micro SD card included (while supplies last from Nov. 16 – 26, 2018 ) now. It is $120 off of the member’s regular price of $269.99. So if you have a membership or a friend with one, you would save a more than the Amazon or Walmart deal and get the extra 32 GB Micro SD card. We purchased it on the 15th of November in store when it was $100 off, then went back the morning of the 16th and they credited us the additional $20. It does cost $7.99 if you need to order online and have it shipped.

I just bought mine from target yesterday for the same price. After my red card and employee discount I paid $148. I’m hoping it’ll work out. I read some reviews that said the memory fills up quickly even with the additional memory card.
The memory card doesn’t add space for apps. You can store photos and videos to the memory card though to free up the internal memory for apps if needed 😉
Why is that? I’m so frustrated with mine, I paid $200, then bought the SD Card, and almost nothing will transfer!
Thank you! I’ve actually been looking for a deal on this particular tablet. Just a heads up to those considering, this is not a latest model. Its from 2016 and runs on android 6.0. The OS is not likely possible to update to a newer version, though I’m not 100% sure on that. There is a 2018 model which runs the newer OS version but you’ll likely pay twice as much. To me, twice the price tag is not really worth it, but maybe to others it is. So, I just wanted to share 😁

I bought this at Costco back in August when it was on sale at $ 179.99 + free 32gb micro sd. I like it at first but the longer I had it, few things started to bother me. The biggest thing was the 16gb internal memory. I installed a 128gb external microsd but between the system update, few apps that I installed, it consumed the internal memory pretty fast. You can save music, photos, videos only to the external micro sd. Most apps are thru the internal memory & I only had a few. I kept optimizing the performance by cleaning it up but still, the preinstalled apps & programs are untouchable (unless you root). The size & weight of the tabket was a bit heavy too after I installed a tempered glass & hard shell case. Finally one day, I was watching a movie- then for some reason, it froze up. Wont turn on restart. I had to so some research online to reboot the system. I was a few days away from the return grace period. It went back to Costco & got my money back. My advice- if you’re buying this model, just be aware about the specs & potential problem along the way.
We bought our son one 3 years ago and it’s taken a licken and kept on thicken, cracked screen and all. I recently purchased this one for the same price at Sam’s one day sale last week for his Christmas gift w/ 32 GB and this time I ordered an otterbox from Amazon.
