SO if I’m understanding correctly, If I do the Best Buy offer i get 128GB for $250 but with Target I’ll only get the 32GB but I’ll save an extra 5%? Is the best buy one an older generation too? I just want to make sure they are identical – just with different GB….

    • Chris Lenhart

      Cherrelle,

These are 2 different size iPads. The 128gb iPad at both Best Buy and target are the iPad minis. These are $249 at both. The screen size is 7.9 inches. The iPad mini 4 was released in 2015 but is the most current “mini” out there. The other iPad is apples newest iPad model which has a bigger screen size of 9.7 inches. The drawback to this item at 249 is that it on has 32gb of space.

      I hope this helps

Target also has the IPad Mini 4 for $249.99 but it’s the 128GB. So I took that option and with my RedCard paid $237.39

  4. Thankful6

Target is coming up as $349 for the 126gb.

    I see the older model 2015 showing $249 for the 128 g/b sure wish the 2018 was 249 😩

    • Michelle W

They don’t make the mini anymore. 2015 is the latest model

  6. Brandy

Got the Best Buy one!! Thanks!

Help! I ordered both mini and regular bc I cant freaking decide! Forbes, online tablet buying guides/etc say not to buy mini any more bc discontinued and slower processor. But I do like size and storage. Its recommended to buy bigger one, but less storage. HELPPPPP!

    • ChrisL

Yes it is true that it appears they will not make an iPad mini 5. I don’t have any issues with slower processor on my mini 4. I am an IT professional and in my honest opinion, with the iPads, I would go with the higher storage than looking at the processor. If you were buying a laptop or desktop, I would do the opposite and look at the processor and memory as opposed to the disk space.

From what I read the mini 4 is still going to get software updates for the next few years so I wouldn’t worry about the discountinued label.

    • Michelle W

      I agree with Chris

Ipad mini 4 from what I read is that it is upgradeable to the iOS 10 and that is good because my older Mini is a 9.3.5 and it will not take several apps. So I hope it is true that it will go to 10. I did buy mine at Best Buy with their credit card gives you 5% back. Target said it was not available within a hundred miles of my area.

    • Mamaofthree

Yeah our old iPad mini won’t upgrade. I worry as they are discontinuing it is smarter to get newest regular iPad model. For longevity.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to do with an old iPad mini? My daughter shattered the screen so I can’t even touch it (it’s the original iPad mini).

    • Michelle W

      Apple recycled them.
