I would love to see a catalog from the mid eighties when I was a kid in elementary school. I’m sure it’ll crack me up!
Me too! Making my Christmas list with the toy section is such a great memory.
I circled everything in the book
Mine too!
Go to http://www.wishbookweb.com and see catalogs all the way back to the 40’s
Thanks for sharing this site! Too fun!!!
I feel like this must be an April Fool’s joke but it’s December! Lol How is it possible these catalogs have just been sitting around for 25 years!? It’s actually pretty cool… I graduated high school in ’93! This would bring back memories for sure.
LOL! I know! SO funny to see!
They’re used so I’m assuming they bought them from somewhere…
Wow.. those windsuits!!! I so remember those!!!! Omg.. this def brought a smile to my face!!!
I remember them too! I’m pretty sure I had a set!
And look at the prices! For 1993 I think that’s pretty expensive.
I agree, I’m kind of surprised at the prices. There are shirts for $25 each… A shirt has to be pretty special for me to spend $25 on it in 2018!! No wonder my mom didn’t get me everything I circled back then!😂
I recall my mom saving this. Don’t know if she still has it
I’d be curious to learn how many of these they sell. Hillarious!!
I know! That would be neat to see! It reminds me of the Caboodles that have been popular again!
I still use my original caboodles!
How cool! I don’t have mine from when I was younger but my daughter has a couple of the newer versions! LOVE them!
Me too
Not gonna lie I totally love this🤣🤣🤣
ME TOO! It sure brings back some great memories!
Me too… so I actually bought one! 🙂
Gosh this is a blast from the past! I remember perusing thru these, my family loved Sears!
WOW. What a blast from the past. I remember being a child flipping though those catalogues picking out Christmas gifts that I wanted.
Omg. Loved these. I guess I am dating myself. 🙂 The 90s were awesome.
Yes they were!
I hope it has a $5 off coupon in it, like they used to! 🙂
My mom saved sears and jcpenney catalogs from the year my sister and I were born… great collectible and gift idea
I wish mine had but back in 1970 they didn’t keep too many catalogs!
Omg I had that blue and pink windbreaker!
Best comment! 😊 90’s style was fun.
This. Is. Awesome.
Awww, this is funny but also so sad at the same time. Mixed emotions seeing Sears going. For those of us who grew up with them and, quite frankly, anticipating this catalog showing up… 🙁 Gosh, this time of year too, I remember receiving their Xmas catalog.
There is a website called wishbookweb. It has DIGITAL copies of a bunch of catalogs from the 20’s to the 90’s. Hope it’s ok to post this here – I don’t own it or anything haha.
Its amazing!
What a fun website. Thanks for posting this, Jen!
You’re welcome!
I loved looking through the toy section and circling everything I wanted for Christmas as a kid. Kept me busy so my mom could clean and cook. That was a good memory! I worked in the Sears Catalog Department in the early 80’s. But I would not pay $20 for an old catalog!
Good thing it’s only $10 😉 You can consider it now! Half off what you thought it was!
Am i weird for ordering one?
No no ur not.. I’m contemplating right now.. my kids would crack up!!

I bought 2!
No, cause I did!
Not at all! These are super neat!
White elephant gift!!
I can remember this exact copy! I was in kindergarten that year and I got to pick out some clothes from this catalog… I picked some of those being colored wind breaker clothes too!
I use to work for Sears telecatalog. I took thousands of phone orders. I remember how busy the phones orders were during the Christmas season. It was a good era.
I’m just curious as to the story of why Sears has these. Like I imagine some warehouse somewhere and someone coming across some dusty old boxes and seeing that they’re catalogs from 1993 and about to toss in the recycle bin but have the brilliant idea to sell them. LOL! Why would Sears even have 20+ year old catalogs. And just that year? Would be fun to flip through.
Lisa, Sears isn’t selling them, it is through another party.
It’s not Sear’s selling them and they’re used…
The description says they were never mailed or distributed, so they may have been in some warehouse somewhere. Who knows. The description also states that this was the last “Big Book” which may explain why they were kept and why that is the year being offered now.
I agree it would be fun to look through.
This is actually kind of a fun thing to get and I am seriously contemplating it. My children are always asking, “Did they have that when you were a kid?” And “How much was that when you were a kid?” So many things we had as kids are obsolete or hard to explain to a 5 and 8 year old. Could be a fun “history” lesson for kids to physically flip the pages learning how commerce worked when there wasn’t internet. Yes, you can look at catalogs online, but having the physical book to flip thru is part of the nostalgia in the “history” lesson. I think my kids might actually enjoy looking thru it as well as friends we have over during the holidays who might enjoy the nostalgia!
I ordered an 1992 sears Christmas wishbook off eBay a few months ago and I had so much fun going through it with my kids. They loved it and wanted to know if we could still order some of the items lol
Thanks, I bought one! I’ve been trying to find Sear’s Christmas ones from 1970 & 1965 without any luck. I’ve found some around those years but they’re $100+.
You can find them all the way back to the 40’s online but it’s the digital copies…
Wow, this is such an unexpected post lol! So fun! I remember sitting on my grandpa’s lap looking through the toy section. Good memories.
Wait a minute… are people buying this ?!?!? 😂😂 theres a bridge in brooklyn…
I think my parents still have both the catalog and the clothes.
That’s great! Flip through the pages! The used to sell pagers, color block suits and something called a “toning bed” (that I totally thought was a tanning bed)!!!
lol.. but why
Thank you SO much for posting this!!! What a great nostalgic post! I purchased mine immediately. Brings back a ton of really great memories when I was a kid ☺️ Thanks, Hip2Save!
I think it would be neat to look at. I kept the 09 spring/summer and 09 fall/winter JC Penney catalogs and a menu from the F.W.Woolworth restaurant.
I recall in the 70’s, one of the male undie models lets just say was feeling a breeze. We nearly snickered to death. So much for editing lol.
This is the year my daughter was born, and she had a tiny version of those wind suits. I must have this.
This is hilarious! I remember scrolling thru & “window shopping” lol! I bet my granny still has some of these laying around along with her phone book collection 😂
Anyone remember (think it was sears) when no one noticed the guys “junk” was hanging out his shorts. The catalog was published and sent out ?!?!
I remember. I think it was in the 70’s when I was about fourteen. We received that one in the mail.
Wow! That’s a blast from the past! I remember this exact catalog. And the Christmas catalog they’d release too! I’d circle all the things I wanted and show my grandparents my wish list. Those are wonderful memories.
I’m an old-head now….😢😂🤣 back in the day when I was a teenager 💔🎶
Cool! I am curious as to how many of these catalogs they have in stock.
Oh that’s funny! Might have to get one to show the kids in class . . .
Why in god’s name would anyone waste their money on literal trash?
What a holiday sprit!
Nostalgia. We millennials apparently love having our childhood marketed back to us.
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
I didn’t even grew up here in the US, but I am really curious about how it was back then. I feel like Christmas spirit is less and less as the years pass.
Just finished browsing the 1937 catalog. No gadget no electronics..just plain simple toys, I even saw kids cooking set like those Mellisa and Doug ones for like 80 cents. I wish I was born in early eras when life was so simple.
I always wanted one of those windsuit but my parents could not afford them. My aunt ( a young adult back then) used her first pay check to buy a set for my brother and I. She showed up at our house wearing hers and we all went to the park wearing our windset. Ahh sweet memories. She passed away already but what a caring person she was. Love you aunt Rosie.
