I was waiting for the sams club deal, but does anybody know if this product would be better aside from the WiFi/app capability?
I own 3 of these, and the battery on one just failed after 1.5 years of steady use. The other two purchased around the same time are still going strong and I still love this vacuum enough that I just ordered two more. I prefer it to Roomba which is more finicky to clean out and the batteries on the lighthouses die so often…and is more expensive. This Shark does a great job on hard floors/low pile rugs and a mediocre job on more plush carpets. I am not willing to pay the high price tag for a Samsung with amazing suction, a high profile, and abysmal malfunction rate…so I just let the Shark go a little longer on the higher pile carpet and it eventually does okay. We don’t own any pets though…not sure how it would work with fur in the carpet! I actually ordered them from Kohls, with the 30% off, mother’s day $10 off $50+, and Kohl’s cash, it was a better deal π Happy cleaning!
Also, I should have added that the one in which the battery failed was a remote-schedule one. The other two are app-controlled and I much prefer the app. So often we will go out of town for a night or two and it is so nice to come back to a clean house! Also, it may have something to do with mine’s malfunction, but the scheduling did not work as well as the the app-scheduled ones…think daylight savings time and kids playing with buttons. The app-controlled is more reliable.
