This is a must for every homeowner IMO. It gives you peace of mind b/c you’ll always know if you closed the garage door or not (we often forget whether or not we did, right as we’re hitting the highway to go on a road trip!) and it also allows you to let people into your home using your phone when you’re away (like a neighbor that’s going to be looking after your pet or caring for plants etc).
We even use it to let our child into the house if/when I can’t make it home before his school bus- he’ll walk home, ring our Ring doorbell, speak to one of using that, and then we’ll let him in using the Chamberlain app to open and then close our garage door.
Highly recommend. No more having to keep a garage door opener in the car we keep in the driveway.

What exactly did you ask Alexa? When I said to “Alexa add a smart plug to my cart” it added a two pack for $29.99. Maybe it is account specific, or I am asking wrong.
I said Alexa had smart plug to cart. Maybe it heard you as plural? I would still go in and add the single, delete the double. Coupon should still be there. Not specific to amazon account, it is part of Prime day!

In question and answer section of product it says the company charges a fee in install and looks like possibly monthly charges?!
There’s a discussion about this on SlickDeals. It looks like it’s only if you integrate it with google home or Alexa or another service. If you’re okay using their app, no fee.
