   I am extremely disappointed with B and N this morning, and I want to give a heads up to anyone who placed an order from the clearance sale that was posted here a few weeks ago. My order was delayed, then yesterday my order (all 7 items) was canceled. One item was going to be a Christmas present for my daughter. The email said they don’t have enough inventory to fulfill my order. I will not be placing anymore orders for clearance items.

  I had half my order canceled over several weeks. Would have been nice to be told at the beginning and not have it trickle in.

  I’m not happy with B&N either. They cancelled my order of the wellie wishers guitar on clearance for $6. The next morning I got an email suggesting that I buy the exact same item for the $25 regular price!

  I did “live chat” with them yesterday about an item that is still “processing” and they were absolutely no help. They said they have no control over the inventory and I’d basically just have to wait and see what happens. They are obviously very disorganized and lack qualified customer service.

  I placed an order a few weeks ago too. I got 4 out of the 6 things I ordered. Like you I got an email that it was delayed, then cancelled. I was so bummed!

   Mine was delayed and then finally cancelled in the end. The only problem is that I threw the gift card away that I used. When I called it was very confusing and I am getting an e gift card back, but only for 3 of 11 items. The rest went back on my credit card. Which I doubt but will have to check. I think I’m out a $50 gift card in the end. Keep your gift cards if you order
   online, I wasn’t thinking when I tossed it!

   I found a 500 piece Lego set for $2, magformers set for $2, talking globe normally $120 for $2, etc. It was fun to nab these great deals

   I placed an order for in store pickup and thought I had 7 days to pick up (actually had 5). The morning of day 6, I received an email stating my order had to be picked up by the prior night and was being canceled. I called the store literally the minute they opened and explained that my order had been canceled and the clerk told me my items would be put on hold and I could come pay in store. Minutes later she called back to tell me the items were no longer available. Somehow they went from being ready for in store pick-up to disappearing before the store even opened??

    I ordered from Barnes and Noble and after a week and a delay and a promise that it would be delivered within a few days my order was canceled. I was told there is nothing they can do. Very disappointed in the customer service at Barnes & Noble. I would highly recommend not ordering online from them unless you would like your order cancelled

    Did anyone else’s store have a $2 section and then an outlet clearance rack? The outlet rack was $5 and $10.
