CVS Corporate Coupon Policy
If you’re like us, you love to save money! And one of the most important things you can do to ensure you’re a savvy CVS shopper is to familiarize yourself with the CVS Coupon Policy. I recommend that you print a copy of this policy and bring it with you while you shop. If any issues arise, this policy should definitely help clear things up!
Getting started with CVS…
The first step to take before you can even begin shopping at CVS is to either head to the store or go online and fill out the Extra Care membership form. Once you become a member, you’ll get your very own ExtraCare Card that you’ll want to take with you every time you shop.
The benefit of going in-store is you’ll be able to get the card immediately. If you apply online, you’ll receive a temporary card that you can print right away, but your permanent card will arrive by mail in approximately two weeks.
Before starting your shopping trip…
Scan your CVS card (or enter your phone number) at the red ExtraCare Coupon Center (usually found at the front of the store). Then you can see which CVS store coupons there are to print that you can also combine with manufacturer’s coupons!
The Coupon Center prints coupons mentioned in the weekly ad, but it also prints out personalized coupons that are based on what you typically buy at CVS. Be sure to also check your receipt after making a purchase as sometimes you’ll receive other store coupons, too.
The ExtraCare Rewards Program
ExtraBucks Rewards (or EBs) are CVS rewards that give you money back to spend in the store however you want (a few exclusions apply). Always remember to have the cashier scan your Extra Care card first so you never miss out on getting ExtraBucks when making purchases!
By using your ExtraCare Rewards Card at checkout, you’ll earn ExtraBucks Rewards that print out on the bottom of your receipt when you make a qualifying purchase (as listed in the weekly ad).
You’ll also earn 2% back on your purchases (exclusions apply). These 2% rewards will come on your receipt after every purchase. You can use these rewards on just about anything, and to make it easy, you can load send them to your card right in the app so you don’t need to keep up with all those paper receipts!
ExtraBuck Rewards offers come with varying limits that will be clearly shown in the weekly ad and on store tags. Some items may have a limit of one reward per card; other items may give you two or more rewards. Sometimes you can even find “FREE after ExtraBuck” items! This means you’ll buy an item and get that same amount back in the form of ExtraBucks Rewards after purchasing!
And even sweeter, if you have a manufacturer coupon to use on the free-after-ExtraBuck item, then you’ll turn that deal into a moneymaker! That’s definitely one way to get a coupon high at CVS!
Plus, you can also earn ExtraBucks Rewards on qualifying purchases made on CVS.com. You will need to sign into your CVS.com account and attach your ExtraCare card in order to earn ExtraBucks Rewards for your online purchases.
Sign up for the ExtraCare Beauty Club
When you sign up for the CVS Beauty Club, you’ll automatically receive a FREE beauty gift each month you $30 you spend on qualifying beauty purchases (limit 1 free gift per month)! You’ll also receive a gift on your Birthday, exclusive coupons, and more!
Plus, members get 10% back in ExtraBucks Rewards during special events like Epic Beauty Event and new private sales! And, you can get exclusive mobile offers when you sign up for text messages and push notifications.
Your ExtraBucks Rewards will print on your receipt OR at the ExtraCare Coupon Center two days following your qualifying purchase. Or, if you prefer, sign in to your CVS.com account to print or send your rewards to your card.
Note that qualifying Beauty purchases include items from the following categories: Cosmetics, Fragrances, Hair Accessories, Hair Appliances, Hair Care, Hair Color, Healthy Skin Care, and Skin Care (excludes items from Trial & Travel, gift cards, and prescriptions).
Stacking CVS with Manufacturer’s Coupons
One of the best things about shopping at CVS, in my opinion, is that they allow you to stack CVS coupons with manufacturer’s coupons on the same item!
According to the official CVS coupon policy, you can stack multiple coupons as such:
- You can use TWO $3 off $15 coupons for purchases that are $30 or higher.
- You can use a $3 off $15 coupon and $5 ExtraBucks Rewards for a purchase of $15.
- You can stack a $1 off toothpaste manufacturer coupon and a $2 off toothpaste Coupon Center coupon for a $3 toothpaste item.
HIP TIP: CVS store coupons often have a barcode starting with the number “4” or “0”, state “CVS Pharmacy” at the top. They do not include a remit address on the coupon, which is used to send to the manufacturer. Usually, these store coupons are also limited to one per customer.
Rolling ExtraBucks Rewards
Once you start getting the hang of CVS, you’ll be able to “roll” your ExtraBucks! This means that you’ll be able to purchase new ExtraBuck offers on a regular basis while using or “rolling” the ExtraBucks earned from previous weeks!
And that means you’ll be spending little to NO money out of pocket – OR possibly making money – especially if you stack the deals with coupons.
Here’s an example:
CVS has Suave Shampoo on sale for $1, and it will generate a $1 ExtraBuck Reward (EB) after you purchase one. Plus, you have a $0.50/1 manufacturer coupon. You’ll end up only paying $0.50 out of pocket, but then you’ll get back a $1 ExtraBuck — netting you a $0.50 profit for purchasing Suave!
CVS is offering Colgate Shampoo for $2 with a $2 ExtraBuck Reward (EB). You have a $1 digital coupon that you can pair with that $1 ExtraBuck from the shampoo you earned to pay $0 out of pocket and get your $2 ExtraBuck!
That means you’ve paid a total of $0.50 out of pocket for one shampoo and one toothpaste!
Sign Up for CVS Emails
If you’re signed up to receive CVS emails, they often send exclusive store coupons that can be used before any manufacturer coupons to lower your out-of-pocket expense (these are usually $3 off $15, $4 off $20, $5 off $25 purchase store coupons). Make sure to sign up for email updates when you register for your Extra Care card, and you just may get one of these coupons in your inbox soon!
Once you’re ready to check out, put your coupons in this order: $4 off $20 store coupon (or any other money-off store coupon), CVS store product coupons, manufacturer coupons, and finally ExtraBucks.
Join the CVS Advisor Panel
The CVS Advisor Panel is a group of CVS customers who volunteer to take surveys as well as offer their opinions and feedback. In return, they often get rewarded with ExtraBucks Rewards! Usually, if you qualify for the survey, you’ll get a higher reward (i.e. $15 EB) than if you don’t qualify (i.e. $2-$3 EB).
