This flush mounting plug is a great way to access power from outlets that are normally blocked with furniture and other tight-to-reach spaces. The cord is only a 16 gauge wire with polarized (one plug terminal is taller than the other) 2-prong outlet ends, so it is only for light-duty and non-ground wire plugs (3-prong). I find it perfect to plug into an outlet behind my couch that is normally blocked off, and I use it for a phone charger, a low-wattage lamp, and the other outlet on this cord is available as a spare. The 6-foot length seems like just the right length; long enough to reach where I need it and not a lot of extra cord to get tangled up.
