There is no link to enter yet because it doesn’t start until June 21. On the 21st, you have to register on Amazon’s website, then you can start making small business item purchases for sweepstakes entries. In the fine print, it looks like there will be a way to enter in the US and Canada without making a purchase.

On the first day I entered, it kept track of all my entries, but now it every time I login it shows 1500 and then when I enter and look, it just shows 1.

Hi Phoebe, I replied to Mike as well about this, but I also received an email from this email address, and from what I have deduced from my preliminary research, it seems to be the email that Amazon is using for this sweepstakes and is legitimate, so congrats!

Is there any way that someone on the Hip Team can check this out further? Hip Reader Jensen has now posted that Amazon advised this was a scam. However, everything looks legit according to the details in the link posted by Hip Sidekick Jessica. Also, the web address that the email link goes to (to claim the prizes) seems to be part of the “https://www.primedaysweepstakes.com/” website.

Apparently, some H2S readers have already called and spoken with customer service reps today and been told that the emails ARE a scam. Does it make a difference to do a chat instead, while logged into your account?
I do like to chat with customer service online, while logged in to my Amazon account. I feel like if I start a chat within my account, I’m more likely to get a specific answer for my personal account / details. That way I’m also certain that I am speaking with a legitmate Amazon customer service agent. Hope that might be more helpful! 🥰
Okay, so I just did an online chat w/Amazon while signed in to my account. I was told that the emails were absolutely not from Amazon, nor PromoVeritas (acting as promotion administrator). I was told that I should not respond to the emails or click on any links within the emails.
I received this same response from Amazon. They stated that this was NOT their program. Any chance they were not aware since it was run by Promo Veritas?

Amazon’s Customer Service will tell you it’s a scam. I’ve spoken to 2 reps. I felt like they were blowing me off though.
Hey there Brandie! This promotion actually was done through a 3rd party, Promo Veritas, so Amazon’s customer service doesn’t seem to be familiar with the promotion details. I personally won a gift card myself a few weeks ago when the promotion ended, and received it in my account. After completing the claim form, I received a follow-up email shortly after from the email “gc-orders@gc.email.amazon.com” with the subject “Prime Day Sweepstakes sent you an Amazon Gift Card!” when it became available in my account. Hoping that is helpful! ❤️
I received an email as well, from noreply@primedaysweepstakes.com. I have done some research, and this seems to be a legitimate email address. I won a $500 gift card, and they did not ask me for a W9. However, because your win is over $600, they are required to report it to the IRS for tax purposes, so that is likely why you are being asked to fill out a W9. This is standard procedure for wins over $600. It is good to be skeptical when you have to give out such personal information, but in this case I think it is legitimate, so congrats!

Just spoke with an amazon customer service representative, this is a scam, do not fall for it
They did not recognize any price claim portal content from noreply@primedaysweepstakes.com. Most likely this is a email spoofing strategy. Just reported this to Amazon cybersecurity, waited to see how it would unfold. Always contact Amazon before you sense something fishy.

I did the same and spoke to an Amazon customer service agent. They said that this is malicious and the email should be deleted immediately.

How exactly did you validate this sweepstake? I think this information would be good for everyone here. I have reached out to Promo Veritas to confirm with them.
Just wondering, for Jensen and Chazz, were the representatives that you spoke with in another country? I have had a few experiences where they didn’t really know for sure about the info they were giving me and I found out they were wrong when I spoke with a manager in the United States.
Everything I can see about the email (and how it is being handled) seems to line up exactly with the details of the sweepstakes rules. (the timeframe within which winners would be notified by email, having to visit the claim portal to claim a prize, and that a W-9 must be completed for all prizes greater than $600, etc.)
I wish they still had the pages up on Amazon.com so I could double-check official Amazon documentation regarding whether it’s fulfilled through primedaysweepstakes.com.

I agree. I think Amazon SHOULD still have the pages up on Amazon.com and I don’t think it’s right that they aren’t available there anymore. At the very bottom of this page “https://www.primedaysweepstakes.com/terms”, it shows the following:

However, during a second chat with Amazon, a representative told me that when they try to go to http://www.primedaysweepstakes.com, it is blocked and that means it is not a legitimate website. Yet, I can go to it and see the several things, including the “terms” page I just listed and the “https://www.primedaysweepstakes.com/faqs” page that Hip Sidekick Jessica referenced earlier today.
I will certainly respond here if I find any more information. I hope all others here will do the same.

So I received the email from same source referenced above. I DID click to claim and after I was like oh crap is this a scam! Amazon chat says it is a scam, nothing funky on my account, I did delete my cards and change password. No 500 in the gift card area so far.

This still seems crazy to me. If it is a scam and the emails are not legit, then I think their email address was hijacked. The email address “noreply@primedaysweepstakes.com” is the exact same email address from which I received my registration confirmation email on 6/25/22 to confirm that I had entered the sweepstakes.
Same, that’s what’s confusing me so much about it. But I spoke to THREE CS agents, one on the phone who did some pretty thorough investigation, and he said, “I’m 100% certain that this is not legitimate. And we did not use a third party to conduct this sweepstakes.”
How in the hell did they a) know I entered the sweepstakes on Amazon immediately after I submitted my registration ON AMAZON.COM, and b) get my name?

I’m thinking that “confirmation email” was part of the scam. 🙁 If they sent it out to masses of Prime subscribers, plenty would think it was legit. Think of how many thousands (millions!) of people shopped on Prime Day and would have no reason to think twice about a confirmation e-mail, which we would then look back on to legitimize this one, which is now asking for a ton of personal information… info that Amazon should already have in our accounts.

I talked to a customer service rep and she said that amazon didnt have a small business sweepstakes. So i dont think they really know. I am going to wait to see if I get a gift card or not.
That’s the first I’ve heard about a rep denying that Amazon even had a Small Business Sweepstakes. That makes it even harder to believe that any of the reps REALLY know what’s going on with this.
Hi Mark, I agree, it does sound like there is a lack of knowledge on behalf of some of the customer service representatives. This was most definitely a legitimate giveaway through Amazon. It does say in the FAQ that the gift cards should be delivered within 5 days.

I read through the entire thing and was slightly disappoint that no one at this point can still be 100% certain that this is not a scam, lol. I did contact Amazon customer service as well and was told that this is not legit, but that they would escalate this. I feel like if it were legit and the CS reps saying it’s not is the reason why some people who would’ve been winners don’t get the prize that they should be responsible for it somehow. Hope that whoever was going to contact PromoVeritas has an answer…

Please let me know if anyone finds out if this is 100% real! I won a prize over $600, so they require a W9 from me. I’m not comfortable putting my SS# on something with so much conflicting information though. I’m hoping this clears up before the prize acceptance end date. I’d really love to claim my prize, but it’s not worth possibly ruining my life over. Every customer service agent I’ve spoken to has said this is most likely a scam as they can’t access the email through my account. AmazonHelp on Twitter is also of no help right now as they keep repeating the same thing over and over.
Hmmm… came here, read all the comments and back ‘n’ forth, and am suddenly struck by how many H2S followers seem to have won prizes! Maybe that should be a sign. 🙁 I looked up my original entry confirmation on 6/21, and thought “hey, this looks legit… and looks just like the one I got today saying I’ve won $100!” then it occurred to me that this may be a very well-orchestrated scam that began a month ago. Sending first a “confirmation email” (suspicious that I only got one, but nothing further from Amazon despite purchasing MANY items from small businesses during the sweeps time period!) I think just maybe that email was a scam too, and they have been playing the long game with this. 🙁

Same here. Not many places are talking about this. I’ve been actively checking Twitter, Reddit, and here in hopes of answers. I was a little confused at the amount of people that got prizes, but the numbers actually seem consistent with the amount of prizes they say they’re giving out. I’ve seen far more people talking about receiving 100 and 250 giftcards compared to large prizes.

I received this email and replied. I won a couple of the gift cards and the first one I was notified of for $250 is now on my Amazon account as a gift card balance.
Hi there, I received the prize winner notification email yesterday, and today I have $500 in my Amazon account. I understand the skepticism from people, especially if Amazon CS reps are saying it was a scam, but in my experience it was 100% legitimate.
Timeline:
July 21, 6:34AM – Received an email from noreply@primedaysweepstakes.com with the subject “Congratulations – Claim Your Amazon Prime Day Sweepstakes Prize”.
July 22nd, 4:58 AM – Received an email from gc-orders@gc.email.amazon.com with the subject “Prime Day Sweepstakes sent you an Amazon Gift Card!” and when I log into Amazon, the money is in my account.
I am not sure why Amazon CS reps are telling people it is fake. As someone else mentioned, the original sweepstakes registration emails came from noreply@primedaysweepstakes.com. It’s not surprising that the prize notification emails came from the same address (although I wish Amazon had communicated about it better.)
I sent a bunch of screenshots to the customer service rep about the sweepstakes and she had no idea. She even put on hold to ask her manager. I also showed her the seller central website that was promoting this (its still up). She then said she is not sure and that Seller Central customer service might have a better idea about the sweepstakes since they were promoting the sweepstakes for small business to sell on Amazon. She said that they are more on the products and fulfillment etc.
I also won $100 and I did research and it looks legit. It does seem incredible scam like though.

Just a quick update here, originally I thought it was a scam but it seems normal practice for sweepstakes to ask for address info so I claimed anyway, I did receive 500 dollars added to my Amazon account balance this morning. So it is legitimate, only the amount of people that won the prize (so many people received price claim email) threw me off, leading me to believe it was to good to be true lol

I got an email this morning about receiving a $50 gift card. I clicked through everything, and to me.. it does appear legitimate. It showed my amount of entries, and the site (www.primedaysweepstakes.com) is the exact one that I used to enter the contest. It’s sounding to me like the Amazon reps have no idea what is going on (which is crazy). There are a LOT of prizes for this. Over 114k winners (the smallest prize is the $50 gift card). And, in the FAQ, it absolutely lists that winners over $600 will be contacted and asked to fill out a W-9.

I got the email from noreply@primedaysweepstakes as well. I went through with it and entered my info. Today I got another email telling me that the balance is in my account. It’s there! Seems like a lot of people may be missing out on winnings in fear of it being a scam!

Agreed! It’s legit! It’s crazy, but I actually won $250, $100, AND $50- which is possible per the official rules (one prize per level.) They are all listed together on the webpage when I click through from the prime day email, and the $250 (which I claimed first) is already deposited in my Amazon account.

I received an email for$100 and claimed it and then received a second email for $50 and thought – oh no… it was a scam! But everything looked legit and email it came from looked good. Just checked and I do have $100 in my gc balance, so I’ll go ahead and accept the $50. WHEW!

My husband works for Amazon and has confirmed that it’s real. He’s able to see the tickets that customer service has escalated and they’ve determined it’s legit. Hope that helps!

I received two separate emails that I had won. A $100 gift card and also a $50 gift card. This was absolutely legitimate. I have had both posted to my Amazon gift card balance today 🙂
yeah, I also got the £100 and £50 emails… it did seem too good to be true and I contacted two times amazon support and been told to delete the emails and forget about it. Still, after reading these comments I risked it and I do see the £150 gift credit on my account… I hope it’s not a massively orchestrated hoax, but if it’s not I cannot believe that amazon support doesn’t know about it!
Someone once and for all really needs to deem this safe or a scam. Too many conflicting accounts. I’m on with CS right now and once again they are saying it is not legit. I understand a lot of CS is outsourced and they may not know about it. Hi Amanda, I had the same response from customer service. However, I took a leap of faith and signed up at the given link last night and then just to be safe, changed my Amazon password. Voila, I got the money today morning. I received $250 and $50 separately.
What I think is that Amazon is distributing the winners through some third party. The customer service agents are probably giving you some generic replies based on the training they receive. Hope this helps.

4th transfer — 5 reps and no resolution. I literally was told everything from the email not being legit to the site and the sweepstakes itself. Huh? It was heavily promoted by them and numerous affiliates.

It’s totally legit. I have won two times and it’s in my acct. I can assure you that CS at Amazon generally knows nothing. We have issues with them a lot. For example, a driver ran over our grass area last week. When I talked to CS they though the box that was delivered was damaged and they offered to refund us the item in the box. I talked to three different people until someone realized the grass area is damaged. All that to say, trust the other people in this thread. The contest is legit.
Oh, yes, I know. I have similar situations with them as well from time to time. But, I’m always extra cautious with any clickable links through email.

We won a $100 gift card a couple days ago. Today we received another e-mail that we won a $50 gift card. As soon as you claim the gift cards they are entered immediately into your Amazon account. Sweet deal, free $150 just for buying our usual purchases on Amazon

This is legitimate. I did a live chat with Amazon. The first agent told me that it was not from them. But after seeing so many people on here saying that it was legit, I decided to contact live chat again and provided more information. The second agent assured me that it was legit and I received the $50 I won this same day (today).
I received an email yesterday stating I won a 50 gift card. Of course I thought scam, but it was the primedaysweepstakes email address. I saw that Hip2Save said that would be the address, so I completed the form. You have to log in to Amazon and asks for basic info like name, address, and phone number. I woke up with a 50 gift card balance in my account this morning. Super excited!

This whole thing is crazy! It’s hard to know what to believe. I DID enter the sweepstakes, I DID buy from small businesses and I DID get an email claiming I won a $50 gift card. I wasn’t sure what to do so I claimed it and within 24 hours I had $50 in my account. To be cautious, I changed my password and deleted my ccards on file.
Finally, a response from marketing:
“Hello,

This is legitimate/legal promotion and you are the winner of this promotion.
During Prime Day 2022, eligible customers were able to enter a promotion called the Small Business Sweepstakes. Winners will be randomly selected and notified by PromoVeritas directly via e-mail. The sender of this winner notification is noreply@primedaysweepstakes.com.
Winners will be asked to visit the claim website to provide information (name, country of residence and email address) and claim their prize.

Followed all the instructions, and also changed my password just to safe, and within 5 minutes $50 was added to my gift card balance on amazon. 🙂

I got a reminder today, contacted them again with the same reply and then came here. Went ahead and clicked through. No money but it’s only been 10 minutes. I have my fingers crossed. Lol

Can someone from hip2save please reach out to Amazon as I am still confused. I received two separate emails in July that indicated I won $100 and $50. After monitoring this discussion I decided it was Legit. I followed the process outlined in the emails and I did get the gift cards in my account the next morning
NOW TODAY I get another email from same address noreply@primedaysweepstakes.com that I am a $500 winner. I’m starting to think this is not real. I mean how long does it take them to process winners from a prime day sweepstakes??? Please hip help. Has anyone else received winner emails as recent as today?

I got one today too, for $250.00 I wonder if the people who didn’t think it was legit, missed out and now they are doing the “Wrap Up Sweepstakes” they talk about in the FAQs:
What happens if a prize isn’t claimed?
Following the end of the Promotion Period, in the event of any Prizes that are rejected, undelivered, unclaimed, or returned to sender for a period of 45 days after the close of the Promotion Period. Amazon reserves the right to request that the Administrator conducts a random Wrap Up Sweepstakes for all non-winning entrants. As this depends wholly on what is won during the Promotion, the number of Prizes that may be awarded by this route is unknown. Any provisional winners via this route will be notified via email within 48 days from the end of the Promotion Period.
If a Prize goes unclaimed after reaching out to 2 alternate potential winners that Prize will not be awarded (time permitting unless should the prize be a trip or an event with a specific date).

I just received another email today. I had previously won $150 and received the money in my account. Today it is for $500 so I have to fill out a w9 which I am more nervous about because it has my SSN. Others have filled out a W9 for over $600 right?

Hey Lauren! If you received multiple prize tier winnings (totaling over $600), then you’ll be prompted to fill out a W9 for the promotion. You might allow a few business days for that to process, although some seem to be receiving it quicker now than when the promotion initially ended! Hoping that is helpful! ❤️

I just won a $500 card and another $100, and I did fill out the W9 form. They are both now showing in my Amazon account, so I can state that emails are legitimate. The links provided resolve to the https://www.primedaysweepstakes.com/ webpage. Additionally, the site is a hyper-text transfer protocol secured site, as it should be.
If it helps at all, I used to work in Information Technology and am perhaps more skeptical and careful than the average online shopper. I’m the one warning people when I can, so it’s fun for me to say – “hey this one is REAL!!”
Thanks Alia! I went ahead and filled out the W-9 earlier and I just checked and it is in my account. WOW! My total winnings are $650 with the previous winning a couple of weeks ago so I guess that’s why I had to do the W9.

************Best thing to do: go above back to the original sweeps link, log back in to Amazon thru it, if you won then your prize is there and you can claim it, that way if anyone is duplicating their emails but putting false links in the fake emails you won’t get caught in the click, I entered thru another page advertising this sweeps, they have a winners list and i saw a bunch of people posting today that they won, that a 2nd round of winners were out, so i went back to the original post, clicked thru the enter link and it showed my one little sole alternate means of entry entry, but woohoo! I won a $50 gift card. I claimed it—-then I did go back to my email, had been there 30 mins before and there the congrats email was in my junk from 25mins before!—-so just use the original entry link to check for winnings, then you won’t click any false emails, but I enter sweeps all the time, this is legit, just watch out for any false emails, but I don’t really think there are any, I think people are just thinking it’s too good to be true and those customer service reps just didn’t review the Amazon company promos, so just use the original link to check, Be Favored!
I won $50 Amazon credit. I wouldn’t have ever know about this if Hip2Save didn’t alert me to it. Great to know it was legit. I was skeptical also. But it was credited to my account a day later. Congratulations to everyone!! And again thanks Hip2Save!!
