Did You Know That Big Lots Sells Target Merchandise? Score Up to 70% Off!
Get it for less with a Big Lots! deal…
Run on over to your local Big Lots store where they just started offering Target merchandise for up to 70% less than you would pay for it at Target!
We spotted kitchen items, bedding, and home decor on our most recent Big Lots run. These items aren’t online, so if you want in on these deals, you’ll have to head in-store. Note that items will vary by location and quantities are limited.
So far, we haven’t seen much at our local Big Lots store. If you’re heading into your local Big Lots! let us know what you spotted in the comments!
Check out this Instagram video to see what Hip Sidekick, Maddie, spotted at her Big Lots!
Here’s what we spotted…
Spritz Balloon Variety Kit
Only $3.98 at Big Lots! (regularly $8 at Target)
Opalhouse Jungalow Storage Basket
Only $19.98 at Big Lots (regularly $34.99 at Target)
Project 62 Storage Basket

And this is why we can’t get those amazing deals we used to get at Target. I remember when they would put tons of summer furniture, Halloween items, Christmas trees and more for 90% off. Not anymore
Thanks for sharing your honest feedback, Jackie! Hoping there might be some similar savings on these items in the future! 🤞 ❤️
Targets lising money, the economy stinks. your vote matters. prepare for w hat’s to come.
According to you, what is to come??
I was in my Big Lots for the first time in maybe 6 months yesterday. They seemed to have gotten expensive and there was SO MUCH expired food! I know expiration dates have always been short but I’ve never seen any/so much expired!
Oh, bummer! Thanks for taking the time to let us know what you spotted at your location, Jenny! 🤗 💕
Economy stinks. Your vote matters. we maybe glad to have expired food in future. Get your house in order.
We get the point. I’m not sure this is the correct forum for the comments, though.
Was actually at BL tonight n did notice Target items there on clearance. Saw bedding, storage, toss pillows, kitchen stuff, etc. What a coincidence to c ur post after getting back fr Target.
Thanks for sharing what you spotted at your location, Kay! 🤗 That’s so funny that you saw this post after going there tonight! ❤️
Our local goodwill ends up with quite a bit from target as well.
I feel hopeful reading the comments. At the end of winter I went to my local Target to buy some pretty winter socks they had on clearance and an employee told me apologetically that they had just “salvaged” the winter stuff. When I asked what he meant, he became even more apologetic and told me that, unfortunately, Target makes them now pack everything and place it in a locked dumpster, he said they used to donate everything to the local family center, but not anymore, unseasonal items are trashed. I had heard such things before, but I refused to believe such wasteful practices.
Target sells alot of stuff at liquidation sales and companies buy it. We have 2 liquidator stores in my area, Total Liquidators and Turn 7. And it’s great when the liquidators are trying to liquidate items to bring more in….great prices!
Merchandising as a whole needs to change. Stores stock WAY more product than they can sell. Why not sell the number of items that has been historically purchased? If a store sells 10 pairs of slipper socks an entire season then just stock 10. No reason to stock 200 if historically your store doesn’t sell that many units.
If stores did that, prices would skyrocket. I would definitely stop shopping at a store that did that because they would have no reason to even have a sale if they had such sparse inventory.
I do think that Target is just selling their clearance items in bulk to other stores now rather than selling them themselves. That being said, I have found similar items to what are pictured at other discount stores for way less than Big Lots. Big Lots used to be a great place to shop up until about 10 years ago when their prices stopped being competitive. I also think the quality and variety of much of their merchandise declined too. I think I shop at mine once a year at the most (I used to go in weekly)…you can get way better deals on food items at Kroger during a good sale week!
Ollie’s has a ton of target stuff as well.
Thanks for letting us know that you’ve spotted their items at Ollie’s as well! 🤗
I Love Ollie’s.
I used to work at k mart, out of season merchandise and other call backs were shipped to a liquidation company that places like Big Lots and other similar stores would buy the pallets
