These live plants come shipped in 3.25″ pots, ready to be planted as soon as they arrive. Each butterfly bush blooms in a mix of lavender, pink, and orange tones that create a kaleidoscope of color in the garden. They also have a fragrant honey-like aroma and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and pollinators to your yard! Plus, they’re deer and rabbit resistant too!
Unsure when to plant in your area? These plants will ship out based on when your location is ready to plant for spring, so once you receive them in the mail, you can go right ahead and plant them! Note that these plants are considered invasive in some states, so be sure to check with your local extension first!
Hip Tip: Cottage Farms warrants its perennials for 1 year from the time of shipment. If you’re dissatisfied for any reason, they will replace your plant with a similar or comparable one at no charge (and if it’s too late in the season to ship, it will ship the following shipping season!). Awesome!
This plant is invasive in the US and shouldn’t be planted.
Ignore
Ignore? It’s true. Research
It definitely attracts butterflies especially Monarch, which it’s the reason I bought & planted one. And I did research but didn’t expect it would be so invasive. But it grows a lot & overtakes area of your garden. It also attracts lots of bees, which I didn’t anticipate. Unfortunately, I personally would not recommend it either and I’m speaking from experience.
If you want monarchs you can plant milkweed, which they love. Unfortunately, it also doesn’t stay where you put it, between seeds and underground roots, which are very hard to get rid of. I have watched it move from yard to yard all down my street over the last 5 years.
Thank you for posting this . I would have bought this plant if you didn’t post this . Did my own research and it is an invasive plant in the United States.
