Awww, this reminds me of a recipe I would make when my kids were little! I would slice a pound cake then “toast,” the pieces in a skillet, add some buttercream tinted yellow between 2 slices, and tease that we were having “grilled cheese,” sandwiches for dessert. They still ask for them, and they’re in their teens now, lol. I think that’s adorable and so much fun! Good on you for treating yourself, Stef!
