I got this deal a few months ago. It’s definitely worth the $3. Just be sure to cancel before the renewal if you don’t want to pay the regular membership price. I haven’t watched nearly enough of them. You can go to the website to see all the classes available and watch class previews to help decide if you think your child will be able to follow along. Plenty to keep crafty kids and teens busy over the summer.

I love this site…I paid $40 last year during the COVID shut down and feel like I got my money’s worth just by watching a handful of classes. The instructors are great and there is a huge variety. This price is fantastic!

Has anyone tried this with an 8 year old that loves crafting projects?

    • Britt

I just bought this the other day, but I did buy it for my girls, one being a 10 year old. I think it would depend on how crafty your 8 year old is. They do have about 20 classes for kids listed, but I feel like the other classes are geared a bit more toward adults. That being said, my kids are pretty crafty, as in they started sewing around 7 ish, and one has been baking for a while now, so the adult classes I think will suit them just fine. For the price I think it’s totally worth it to give it a try though. They offer drawing, painting, paper crafting and jewelry making (although it looks like the jewelry making is using supplies like gold and silver and actually soldering those bits together to make jewelry). Quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cake decorating, baking, and cooking. I hope this helps.

I bought the yearly membership for my 10yr old who is incredibly crafty.. sews, knits, draws and creates all kinds of things. She enjoys watching some of the videos but she wishes there were more geared toward kids or beginners. (They seem to be mostly for adults). I’m thinking of trying Creativebug.. it seems to have more “crafty” type videos/lessons she would enjoy.

How can I gift this to someone? Has anyone done that?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Margie! I’m not finding any option to gift a membership on their site, but rather to sign up and share a membership. You might try contacting customer service at 1-888-891-7203 to see if they have additional options that might be helpful for you! Hoping this helps! 💕

You can share your membership with three people. At least that was always offered to me when I had the membership for the last year. I’ve signed up again.

    • Claudette (Hip Sidekick)

Yay!!! Good to know that you can share. Thanks for mentioning that, Stamps!❣️

Anyone else find this useless? I signed up, and I was looking forward to videos to crochet sweaters, socks, anything. Almost every video is a how-to crochet basic stitches for beginners. I know basic stitches. I need projects to practice them with step by step video. Am I missing something on their site?

    • Claudette (Hip Sidekick)

I found this one on knitting socks (which seems to be broken into step-by-step sections), this one for a cable-knit hat, and a sweater knit-along. If you know what know what you want to make, try searching those items. I hope that’s helpful.❤️

      • smoresto

That’s for knitting. I really like to crochet. There just aren’t many projects. I guess I’ll just stick to youtube. Ty for your help.
