Both tracing pads include all the same contents: a light up pad, 12 colored pencils, 10 tracing sheets, 10 blank sheets, and a graphite pencil. It just looks like the pad design may be slightly different, so grab whichever one you think you’d prefer!
Place the tracing sheets on the light up pad, then use a blank sheet and the graphite pencil to trace the image while adding your own flair. The included colored pencils make embellishing easy, and once they’re done tracing, kiddos can add even more personality with markers, glitter, whatever they’d like.

I am a current film student taking storyboarding and set design courses & this has really helped me with tracing references I wouldn’t have been able to draw otherwise. Professional lightboxes tend to be $50+ but I saw this one for much less, and figured I’d try it. Even though it’s marketed as a kid’s toy, it definitely has been really helpful for tracing & professional assignments. The size is perfect for standard letter paper & the battery powered LED screen is very bright. Definitely worth the price.
We bought this for our daughter’s 10th birthday. She has traced so many scenes on this and it is great. The light is bright and makes tracing easy. The only suggestion for this item is that I wish they had more than just fantasy scenes. Like maybe a city scene or pets, etc. We went on the computer and printed off more pictures to trace.
I purchased this to draw applique patterns for quilts, and it works great. I also let my grandson use it to draw when he visits. So I bought him another one for home. Heck, I enjoy tracing pictures with it too. I think any age will enjoy this light table.
