I wanted a griddle for our camp to go along with our charcoal grill. After a month and about 35 meals, I love this griddle. The cooking surface can handle corned beef hash, eggs, pancakes and bacon for 5 for breakfast. I even made the toast on it with the leftover room. Steaks, burgers, dogs, sausage and peppers – whatever – all cook up great. I still use the charcoal grill for chicken and for smoking ribs, etc.
The griddle with the frame is very heavy so if you need to roll it anywhere, you might want to carry the griddle cooking surface separately. I have now permanently mounted the unit next to the outdoor kitchen in our travel trailer so that doesn’t matter anymore.
Follow the instructions for seasoning and cleaning it. After you use it, spray it with water and scrape it, then add a light coat of oil with a paper towel (not with your hands, use a utensil) and you are all set to go.
