I have pretty severe dental issues brought on by years of no insurance and no money to address little problems before they become massive problems. And if you have similar issues, you know that just one little nerve will radiate pain throughout the entire jaw to the point that you wonder if head amputation is an option.
I’ve long made use of Anbesol or Orajel when things are really bad, not to mention Advil and Tylenol to curb some of the pain. And a few years ago, Colgate had an amazing little paste (not toothpaste) that did an incredible job of knocking out the pain. But when my most recent tooth/mouth pain started, I couldn’t find that little Colgate thing anywhere. I suspect they discontinued it 🙁 Fortunately, this came up on Amazon as an alternative, and I figured it was worth a shot.
Let me tell you, this stuff is life-changing! I don’t know how it works so well, considering it’s 20% benzocaine, which is the same amount that’s in Anbesol and Orajel. But somehow it’s better. Maybe it’s because the little applicator sticks help you to get it in just the right spot, and the liquid probably absorbs into the area faster than gel — just my guess. But whatever it is, it is such an incredible and quick relief, and I’m so grateful to have it. I’ve already ordered two more packs just to have it on hand if I need it.
