  When: October 14, 2023 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  Information: Join Overland Park at the Recycling Extravaganza. You can bring in documents to be shredded. It’s free, but with a suggested donation of $5 per box. You can also bring in medications, e-waste items like computers, clothing, and some sporting equipment. Visit their website for the full list of what you can bring.

Michigan

• Where: Flint, MI – Carman-Ainsworth Senior Center
  When: September 28, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  Information: This is a free shredding event for seniors.

• Where: Ann Arbor, MI – Recycle Drop-Off Station
  When: September 30, 2023 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Information: Limit of 5 banker boxes of paper.

• Where: Multiple MI Locations
  When: September 2023
  Information: The LCMU is hosting free shred events in September in locations like Kalamazoo and Farmington Hills. These events are for their members only. Limit of 6 boxes. The Michigan First Credit Union is hosting fall events in Grand Rapids, Eastpoint, and Lathrup Village. However, they are asking for a $5 donation in exchange for shredding.

Minnesota

• Where: Blaine, MN – Recycling Technologies
  When: September 9, 2023 & November 11, 2023 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Information: Limit of 4 boxes. You may also bring in bicycles, fluorescent lights, electronics, and batteries. Visit their website for a full list of what is acceptable to bring.

• Where: St. Paul, MN – Minnesota State Fair Grounds
  When: September 16, 2023 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  Information: Bring in your paper for shredding. You can also bring in electronics, bikes, and more. See the website for details.

• Where: Plymouth, MN – Plymouth Maintenance Facility
  When: September 22, 2023 from 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  Information: Bring in paper to be shredded for free. No binders or binder clips. Bikes, batteries, and textiles also welcome. See the website for full instructions.

  Information: Limit of 3 bankers size boxes. Proof of residency required. There is another St. Louis shredding event on October 21, 2023 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

• Where: St. Charles, MO – Ameristar Casino Lower Parking Lot
  When: October 28, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Information: Limit of 3 bankers size boxes or bags. For residents only.

Nebraska

• Where: Omaha, NE – FNBO Stonybrook Branch
  When: September 9, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Information: Open to the community. FNBO is also having a second shredding event on September 16, 2023 from 9:30 p.m. – 12 p.m. at the 84th and Frederick Branch.

• Where: Papillion, NE – Papillion Public Works Facility
  When: October 21, 2023 from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Information: The Fall Cleanup Days event is hosted by the cities of Papillion and La Vista. This is a several days event where you can dump all sorts of household goods. The event runs from October 16 – 22, 2023 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, document shredding only takes place on the 21st. Visit the event website for more details.

North Dakota

• Where: Williston, ND – Williston Public Works Facility
  When: September 30, 2023 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Information: Limit 2 boxes per person. Additional boxes can be shredded for a $10 fee. You can also bring wood, tires, and a few other items for recycling. See the event notice for details.

Ohio

• Where: Cincinnati, OH – CINFED Credit Union Florence Branch
  When: September 30, 2023 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Information: Free to the public.

• Where: Dublin, OH – Fleet Complex
  When: October 14, 2023  from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Information: Limit of 5 boxes. Each box must weigh no more than 50 lbs. See their website for more instructions.

• Where: Cleveland, OH – 5600 Carnegie Ave.
  When: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  Information: Cleveland residents get free, year-round shredding services. Call (216) 664-3717 for more information.

• ProtectNSHred is hosting several free shred events throughout the state in September & October. Visit their website for a list of locations.

South Dakota

• Where:  Sioux Falls, SD – Sioux Falls Convention Center
  When: September 20, 2023 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  Information: AARP is hosting this free shred event. Registration is not required, but space is limited.

• Where: Aberdeen, SD – Ken’s SuperFair Foods Parking Lot
  When: September 21, 2023 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
  Information: AARP is hosting this free shred event. Registration is not required, but space is limited. AARP is also hosting an event in Rapid City, SD on September 27, 2023 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Wisconsin

• Where: Multiple WI locations
  When: September & October of 2023
  Information: Confidential Records is participating in several FREE paper shredding events throughout the state of Wisconsin. Visit their website for a list of dates, locations, and instructions.

• Where: Wauwatosa, WI – Wauwatosa City Hall Parking Lot
  When: September 9, 2023 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  Information: In addition to paper, you can bring in textiles, bikes, and medication. This event is hosted by TOSA Crime Stoppers.

• Where: Greenfield, WI – Greenfield City Hall
  When: September 16, 2023 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Information: There is a a limit of 3 boxes per resident. The event goes until noon or whenever the truck is full.
