My husband read the whole series as a boy and my kids loved the movies. My 7-year-old is working his way through these like a speed demon. So much fun and scares to be had inside! Carrying on the tradition!
As an author myself, I absolutely love R.L. Stine’s work. Even though I was already an adult when they came out, I still enjoy reading the stories, and having this small collection is a great addition to my bookshelf.
For parents, the Goosebumps series is a great way to get your 7 to 12-year-olds to read. Nobody dies (unless they were dead before the story begins) and the stories are written to entertain and not necessarily scare. There are no real “morals” to them. But, as R.L. Stine says, the only moral to his stories is “Run! Run as fast as you can!”
