I have actually received this Harry & David Pears & Apples box as a gift twice and can tell you that these are the BEST and most juicy, crisp, sweetest pears I have ever eaten in my life. They are perfect to eat fresh by themselves or to bake and drizzle a little honey over them! – Hip Sidekick Misty

I have recently become obsessed with sending Harry & David’s Pears and/or combination fruit gift boxes as gifts for various reasons and/or occasions, as everyone loves receiving them. I’m surmising, that they, like myself, have never experienced these fruits before, especially Harry & David’s Pears and once one does, there’s no going back. I always get rave reviews when folks receive these fruit gift boxes from me.

The very best chocolate. I appreciate the way you take such care in the delivery process, each box was on ice and arrived perfect. Thank you for delivering a quality product. I’m a customer for life.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re so welcome, Betsy! 💕 Glad you could score the shipping savings with this promo code!

  2. Amy

Shipping to relatives in Alaska always rules out Harry and David, but your code dropped the $29 shipping fee to a more do-able $15. Thanks!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome, Amy! So happy to hear you were able to snag discounted shipping for your family to enjoy this yummy gift! ❤️🙌📦

  4. jen2020

Jut curious, are the fruits better than store bought? Thanks.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes! In my experience they are better than my local fruits in the grocery store. ❤️

    • Mari

Yes! And if they are not, complain and they will send a new order. We just got a seasonal apple medley from them. They were gorgeous – who knew apples could be that beautiful! Plus they were crisp. Not like the mealy ones I have been buying at the store.

Ordered for my parents who are in their 80’s and very hard to buy for. They have already been delivered and they are pleased with them. The free shipping really made the difference for me!

So glad this option popped up for you to grab for your parents and to hear they enjoyed their gift, Darlene. 💞 I’m a big fan of free shipping as well! 🎉

If you order often from Harry and David, Cheryl’s cookies, 1 800 Flowers, or their other brands, check out the Passport Shipping which includes all of their companies.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Yes! I’ve been signed up for the Celebrations Passport before! 🙌❤️ Definitely a money-saver if you order often and there aren’t free shipping offers available like in this post, Elaine! Thanks for mentioning this. 🤗

  9. Margie

  10. Darla

So it’s about $8 per piece of fruit? IDK I want to send something to family but I just don’t know if this one’s it so if you have anything else please send it on our way! Thanks for your help!

  11. Kren

My local Trader Joe’s is selling boxes of Harry and David pears for $10. I think there are 6 in the box.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Awesome! Thanks so much for the heads up on where you’ve spotted some Harry & David goodies at near you, Kren. 🤗❤️

  12. Gail Allen

Code not working for free shipping

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Gail! I just tested both the items from the free shipping landing page on Harry & David’s site – the truffles and the pears box, and still see the free shipping applied. You might try copying/pasting the promo code, as sometimes they can be case-sensitive, or try switching to a new browser to grab this deal! 💗

  13. Pat

I read that the Harry and David Riviera pears are actually comice pears (or a hybrid of comice pears?), which my local Sprouts carries in a small bin (that you kind of have to know to look for) at $1.98 per lb. They may not always be as big and beautiful as Harry and David’s, but they do taste great! I include these in my holiday gift baskets for my neighbors and they really love them.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh interesting! Thanks for that tip, Pat! Good to know! 🤗💗

  14. Amy R.

cant seem to get free shipping

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Oh no! Sorry it’s not applying for you, Amy. I just tested both options – the pears and apples, and the truffles, and the code still seems to be applying on my end to both. You might check that you have one of those eligible free shipping items added to your cart, and copy/paste the promo code again, as sometimes they can be case-sensitive. Another tip is to switch browsers – this has helped things work properly for me in the past. Hoping these suggestions are helpful to snag one of these gifts! ❤️

  15. Suzanne H

Sent pears and apples to my Uncle in TN that only eats vegan, raw foods (hard to shop for) and my husband’s Aunt in FL. Also sent the chocolates to my husband’s cousin’s family in FL. Saved a bundle with that free shipping code! Thanks.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome, Suzanne! 💞 Glad you could score all the discounts on multiple gifts! Hoping they each enjoy them. 🤗

  16. Patricia C

Because of this post I ordered 3 as gifts. Mine arrived so bad I wouldn’t give it to my worst enemy. I’ve contacted the company twice and was assured I could get a refund and they aren’t doing it. I’ve never ordered from them before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It saddens me to spend $34 for fruit I threw in the trash. I’m not blaming you Hip2Save, just saying I took advantage of the good deal and wanted to try the hype.

    • Trish (Hip Sidekick)

So very sorry to hear about the quality of the fruit you received, Patricia! 😔 Hoping you receive your refund soon! 🤞💕

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Patricia C! We feel terrible that they didn’t arrive in good condition.😔 ❤️ We’d love to reach out for you on this. What was the order number and email associated with your purchase?

      • Patricia

After 2 more phone calls, I did get refunded for 2 of the 3. They wanted to resend them, but I didn’t want to take the chance so I asked for a refund. Thank you so much though for your willingness to help. ❤️💕

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re SO very welcome! Thanks so much for that update. Glad you could get a refund. ❤️

  17. Sue

Not getting the free shipping either.

    • Sue

Actually, I had to reapply the promo code and it worked!

      • Alli (Hip Sidekick)

Glad you were able to get it to work, Sue!

  18. Sally Dennis

    Code not working for me

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Bummer! So sorry, Sally. It seems it has now expired. 😔
